How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Nice and clean room, good bathroom, good breakfast. Location near the train-station which was quite nice when arriving late in Brussel. Nice staff which responded very kind to a (very) late request for late check-up due long waiting time at embassy.

It can get loud on the streets nearby at night but you can shut the windows. The neighborhood isn’t the nicest of places but the hotel feel very safe.
Location cannot be more perfect, being a two mins walk from Brussels Midi station. Highly recommend for those who need to catch a very early train! It has an elevator for those with large suitcases and the shower is great.

Nothing, area is a bit sketchy but not terrible. Won’t want to walk around too much at night. Hotel itself was great though
It was modern, clean and staff were helpful. 2 minutes walk from Brussels Midi station.

The hotel was complet and the room I got looked over a building that had work going on during my stay.
The room was pretty clean, comfy, and had everything I needed. Despite small, it was pretty well organised and covered all my needs. Mohammad and AbdulHafiz in reception were super nice and helpful. The location is perfect. It is 2-4 min walk from Gare Du Midi, 15 mins from the heart of brussels and all touristic attractions. It is a 20 mins walk to ixelle, and you can have a stroll easily in Saint Gilles. Left my luggage in the hotel, on my checkout day, and got it on my way to the station which was super easy n nice and allowed me to enjoy the city hassle free.

There is NO free parking garage - I had to park at a spot in the street. The receptionist told me this was fine, despite of temporary signs stating it was not allowed. Next morning one of the windows of my car was smashed. I chose this place because of price and safe indoor parking.
The room, the bed, the shower was great. Breakfast was fine too.

The location is near Brussels-Zuid, which makes it a bit interesting at night. However, the prices are very fair :)
Very nice staff there, rooms were superb, very clean and also very large.

Noice cancellation - earplugs could be helpful to be provided together with the other amenities.
The location was very good for traveling close to Brussels-midi. However, the trains are loud during the night and would recommend earplugs for sleeping. The service was very good and the room was spacious and clean with amenities.

I found the room quite cold and could not find a way to adjust the temperature. The curtains did not close properly. There was very limited choice of cereals at breakfast - muesli would be nice.
Conveniently near to Midi station. Friendly and helpful reception staff. I appreciated the tea/coffee making facility in the room. Comfortable bed. Quiet room despite nearness to station.

The smell gave me such a headache I had to have the windows open to get the air freshener smell out. I put the fresheners in the refrigerator to make it stop but it was still hard to rid it.

The area is grim but of course that's not the hotels fault. The room was small but for one night it was fine.

The surrounding area is not that fascinating. Access to entrance only manual, door is opened by the hotel staff.
Location very close to Midi station - very convenient for connecting by bus to Charleroi airport. Nice staff, clean room, good shower, good bed, reasonable comfort.

Painting problems in the wall due to moisture, the shower door could not close, a bit noisy location due to trains.
The staff were very nice in the small interaction we had.
