We did have a slight issue with the rooms door. The staff did look into this but were unable to solve in during the staff. Felt more comfortable that the entrance/ lobby door was shut and locked so only other guests had access to the building.

The hotel has a really good location, just a 5 minute walk from central station. It's located close to lots of shops, bars and restaurants. We managed to move around solely on foot. We didn't need to walk more than 20mins to navigate across and explore the capital. I liked that the entrance was locked and a member of staff was always present at the door. Breakfast was simple but effective with lovely coffee and fresh orange juice.

The hotel boasts an excellent "location" right at the heart of the action, offering the convenience and vibe of a central spot. The "room" was comfortably appointed and clean, though the noise levels from the bustling business district below were somewhat noticeable—not that it mattered much since one doesn't choose this place for a sleep retreat. As for the "breakfast," it was rather uninspiring and on the sparse side, which wouldn't be an issue for those who tend to skip the first meal of the day. All in all, I was very pleased with the experience.

Breakfast is basic but enjoyable. There is a little bit of noise outside but at least on the top floor it's not intrusive

This hotel could not be better located. Friendly staff, comfortable if basic rooms but to be a two minute walk from La Grande Place and the conference centre at Mont des Arts is fantastic

AMAZING hotel and location - but extremely unsafe lock-out policy

The massive glaring problem at Hotel des Galeries is that you are not given a key to the building, only a card for your room. You have to bang on the front door and a member of staff sat at the desk there is supposed to let you in. SUPPOSED to. This is very uncomfortable on its own. But three times during our three night stay there was no one there to let us in. Once it was seven o clock in the morning and very cold and pouring with rain and we were left waiting for some fifteen minutes. This system is NOT SAFE if you are on your own and/or vunerable. On the third happening we were so fed up that I broke in through the restaurant next door and walked around. Also this hotel is advertised as having rooms with balconies. It has ONE (I believe it room 11) balcony out of 20+ rooms. I had booked to stay here and booked a room with a balcony, however on check in my friends got the balcony room. It was a really nice balcony though! Lastly, our room had a lovely bath. Unfortunately it couldn't be used. The water level just didn't go up, despite my running it for an hour. And no it wans't the plug-hole either, it was the overflow. Probably an easy fix!

The location is AMAZING. Perfect for the bars and restaurants and the Christmas market. It felt very luxurious and I loved the coffee machine. The bathrooms are GORGEOUS. Great high ceilings and very little noise despite being on a major thoroughfare.

It was noisier than I expected. Could hear both street noise and a crying baby at all hours- 2am, 6 am - somewhere on the property. The latter was probably just bad luck.

Location is fabulous and it has a nice, spacious, functional design and a funky vibe. The bathroom is enormous with a huge soaking tub and a full shower. The place smells like the bakery next door. Yum!

There was nothing I didn't like.

The room was really nice, the hotel had nice communal areas too and exceeded expectations massively for a city centre hotel I it's price range. location is ideal for people wanting to be in the centre of old town Brussels. Nice products int he bathroom. Nicebig windows with proper shutters to keep out sunlight in the morning.

While the hotel itself has great potential, it is let down by lack of care. For example, in the shower there was rust, a hint of mildew and a lot of missing grout; there is a gap between baseboards and the floor; the bedroom carpet has seen better days; the chair in the bedroom had a broken seat; some of the towels were discoloured. So while our stay was fine, these things made the stay left comfortable. In addition, the rooms were lacking a deep clean (clearly the bedsheets and towels were clean and common surfaces were cleaned, but the window ledges a couple of the bathroom walls and a few other spots needed cleaning. Finally, we ran out of hot water every day.

First, the location of this hotel is excellent. Minutes walk from the central train station, on the edge of the St. Hubert royal galleries, and a quick walk to the grand place - you’re in the middle of everything. (I note that as with any place with such a central location, it is a bit noisy, but nothing that kept us up at night.) Second, the rooms are very large. Our room was the king room, which had a bedroom with a chair, desk, and door, an entry area with luggage storage and shelving, tea/coffee station, and a massive bathroom with stand alone both and walk in shower. Third, the water pressure was excellent. Fourth, the staff were great. The main lobby in the building is tiny and for guests only, and the staff there was so pleasant. Fifth, the internet was good.

Room went towards the street. Due to the building being old and windows not having soundproofing, it was very loud during the nights over the weekend. The rooms towards the back are probably much more quiet. The bed was big and comfy, but a little hard for me personal taste.

Lovely rooms of generous size with nice design for a unique experience. Friendly staff. Great location direct in the Brussel city center.

Cozy, quaint hotel in the perfect location for wandering about Brussels on foot.

The balcony floor was very slick with moss. My wife slipped and fell as soon as she set foot on the balcony (she only suffered a small scrape on her foot and wounded pride, nothing to worry about). Having that scrubbed and less slick would be great. The bed was firmer than I'd like and the pillows a bit lacking.

The room was spacious, clean, and nicely appointed. The towel warmer in the bathroom seems like it would be a great amenity (except it's connected to the radiator heat so it never kicked on for us, but must be great in the winter). The hotel vibe was very cozy and charming. Our private balcony was excellent. It allowed us to listen to the city while we took a nap.

Rug in the room was really dirty, with lots of stains - it is clear that it has only been vacuumed, not properly cleaned for a long time. We basically avoided stepping on it as there were no slippers in the room that we could use. WC had a really worn, yellowed toilet seat, which no matter how clean it is it will give the impression of dirtiness. Main bathroom floor also had stains. Overall, although appears clean, it could do with a good scrubbing. Floors are wooden and really squeaky, so keep in mind if a light sleeper.

Awesome location, breakfast was good, friendly staff
