The carpet in the room.

The room, the view, the location, the shower, the breakfast, the friendlyness of the reception. The building is historical, nice historical details and elements. Tje experience of my stays is modern ;)

The room was a bit smaller than expected and we had a blocked view because the next building was blocking 2/3 of the view. But since we only stayed one night, it didn't bother us much.

The location was quiet and peaceful with a nice garden. The breakfast had many options and was good. The staff was polite. We asked in advance to check whether the pool was open and they informed us. We could enjoy the pool and the sauna.

At the moment there are reconstruction works and therefore swimming pool is closed. Parking lot is also partially closed for renovations.

Dinner was unfortunately only mediocre, with only limited vegan/vegetarian options. The quality/price criteria was definitely not met for us. However, the staff was very friendly. A breakfast buffet was included in the price and absolute standard. Unfortunately. the swimming pool was under construction during our stay, which I was only informed about after I had already booked (and of course paid) for the stay. I would have loved to either know this beforehand, or at least get a discount.

We spent 1 night in this hotel, and absolutely enjoyed ourselves. The arrival was a bit complicated for us as we had not booked a taxi beforehand and could not find any in Dinant centre. We ended up walking from the city which took about 1 hour (but the path was beautiful and absolutely worth it). The hotel is ideally situated in the greenery, from where you can start your hikes through the woods. The room was perfect for a 1-night stay.

We were warned about the construction at the front door, but that blocked our ability to recharge our electric car. This reader would dissuade you from bringing in electric car or renting one from the airport, as there are very few facilities or abilities to charge a car in Dinant (also blocked at train station) or Yvoir.

There were too many instances of outstanding minor maintenance jobs, both in the room and in the public areas. The jacuzzi was out of use and there was no hot water for the showers at the swimming pool.

Good swimming pool with saunas (see below about jacuzzi). Restaurant in the Orangery was very comfortable.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Their professionalism was everywhere. The bar has a good variety of all kinds of drinks. Extra towels possible to go to the pool. Temperature of the pool was good. The room was huge and the beds were very comfortable. We heard no noise at night: the noise isolation is really good in the aisle of the hotel. Small terrace, shower and bath...all necessary facilities.

- The approach road can be better with some lights or so. - The breakfast spread was pretty basic and also the service was bit slow on refilling stuff, etc

Drinks at the bar are too expensive.

Beautiful surroundings, immediate access to the forest and climbing sites. We have got a very big and comfortable room with a direct access to the garden which was very convenient with our dog. The breakfast was good with a decent variety of savoury and sweet food. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool which is a big plus. The renovations are planned in early 2024 so we are looking forward to stay there again and see the new swimming pool area. It’s a great place for a family weekend.

Restaurant understaffed made they run with orders. Food came.before drinks. Not enough hot water for shower at night. No late checkout when asked.
