Neufchateau is well positioned but not the quaintest Ardennes town.

Family room is spacious. Large double and three singles on the mezzanine. Decent view over lake. Restaurant food was good, good beer selection.

Stayed very much out of season - hotel was very quiet and restaurant not open. Got a room upgrade which meant we had a large seating area. Hotel within walking distance of town centre and food outlets. Great location for motorway stopover, so good we've booked again.

It wasn't a young family friendly room - mezzanine stairs were steep & slippery. There was a heater directly underneath which also made them hot. The balcony railing was too low. We shared downstairs bed with our youngest child. The bathroom sink didn't drain and the toilet was smelly.

Great breakfast and hotel in a good location for travelling. Big car park and helpful receptionist. It is a nice looking hotel (although we arrived & left in the dark and never saw the lake)

The only thing I did not like about this place is that there was no shower gel/shampoo in our room (we stayed at #26). It looks like there used to be a wall mounted one but it was removed. Thankfully we were able to catch the receptionist before she leaves for the day and got some one-time use shower gel/shampoo.

Staff was friendly; breakfast was better than I expected; room was clean and comfy. It is a pet friendly hotel; there was a cute dog working with the receptionist! I love almost everything about this lovely hotel and will return in spring/summer time to enjoy the nearby lake.

There are no coffee/tea making facilities in the room; the room was a little difficult to get the right temperature and the plug in the sink didn’t work properly.

The hotel is in a beautiful location looking down over the lake. It has great walking fir our dog and it’s handy for the motorway. The evening meal in the L’Aurora restaurant and the breakfast were excellent. Lovely large room and wet room style en-suite with view over the lake.

There was not a lot of light in the shower/bathroom, this could be improved.

Free parking available in front of the building. Check-in/check-out was quick and easy and the rooms were clean spacious. The provided breakfast was tasty with products from locals and is really recommended.

It would be nice to have a kettle in the room. It also seems quite a lot extra money to upgrade to a lake view room.

A lovely quiet hotel not too far from the main A4 route. A Very good buffet Breakfast including eggs,bacon and all the usual continental breakfast foods

The room itself, while it was an upgrade to a bigger room, had a view of the carpark. This doesn’t sound so bad, but being on the ground floor facing the street, we either had to choose to have the curtains closed or no privacy. You could pay more for a lake side view but that was out of our budget sadly. The room itself was large, but had seen better days. Could use a lick of paint here and there, some new beds and a good caulking. We enjoyed the breakfast, but the selection was sub par when I compare it to other hotel breakfasts I’ve had during similar stays.

We were greeted at the hotel, overlooking a mountain lake by a warm friendly Belgian smile and hospitality by the man at the desk. The view from the communal balcony and reception was beautiful and the restaurant underneath is definitely worth a try (get the meatballs, trust me). The location is great too. With its own walks and trails around it and beautiful hikes and sightseeing trips aren’t so far away either and it makes a great location for daily excursions. We visited Luxembourg city, The Han caves and some other beautiful places within a couple of hours each day.

Bathroom was not thoroughly clean. In particular the shower walls were with dark spots, very likely mold. Can be more hygienic.

Great view from the terrace, also good breakfast. Within walking distance to city, restaurants, hiking areas and of course the lake down hill.

Bathroom was a bit stinky. Probably poor drains. Not really anywhere comfortable to sit but the bed.

Beautiful location and friendly stuff. Breakfast was good. Easy checkin and checkout. The restaurant downstairs was great quality though a little expensive. The fact that you can bring your diner upstairs to your room is very convenient.
