Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Espace 43 is very close to the city center and near the main tourist attractions The access to the room is very easy thanks to the access code - no keys needed

United KingdomVery minor complaints, but there are no fans or air conditioning so you may need to sleep with the window open. Which does naturally affect the noise a bit. In fact, the property is not the most noise-insulated, with sounds from the neighborhood being heard in the room with the window even with it closed. Also the WiFi signal seems to be a bit weak for the television to work perfectly all of the time, it sometimes was lagging. But ultimately these were very minor points for improvement and we very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly come back here next time we are in Namur.
Very chic design, with lots of lovely decoration touches. Although we had a slight issue with cleanliness in one room (not anything the host could have avoided, just a strain on linen which was clearly fresh linen anyway) the host was very quick to rectify it and had me feeling very comfortable. The Nespresso machines and good sized fridges in the room are brilliant and let us keep some local produce we bought fresh which we were very happy about.

GermanyDifferent type of room design and architecture, simple but good. Room access with code, no reception in hotel, but this was not a problem as all information was given by mail. Just a short walk into old town and close to citadelle.

NetherlandsPrices for lodging are extremely high in this area so also this place, beyond what is reasonable we feel. We had to be there for an event but would not have gone otherwise. Room had some kind of stool but we'd preferred just two simple chairs. TV system complicated and took a while to understand but than still did not work flawlessly.
Nicely decorated with quality materials and clean. Easy entry with codes. Located in the city but parking was no problem although we were not there during the day, so how that is we don't know. Quiet room, at the back of the building looking out on some kind of courtyard. Too bad there were so much bird unfriendly sharp pins everywhere.

BelgiumThe downsides of the system with codes is that people were entering and going out of their rooms at every hour of the night. I could hear all of their conversations (and other noises) trough the walls easily and almost did not sleep. Best bring earplugs
Very clean and comfortable room, with easy access to the room due to the codes on the door.

NetherlandsNo breakfast option. Slippers mandatory, the floor is concrete and cold. No full-sized mirror.
Walking distance to citadel and center. Description of the room and facilities is accurate. There is free overnight parking in the area. However, note that during business hours there is a 3-hour limit (google "blue Namur parking zone").

NetherlandsThe room wasn't very soundproof. When other guests upstairs walked around at night (sometimes in heels) it was pretty loud. Especially because the rooms have no carpet or laminate and you walk on beton instead. It would have been nicer to have night cabinets instead of each 1 wiggly stool on each side of the bed. The breadspread looked very old and could be renewed.
The room was very clean and had everything you need for a short stay. It's very close to the center.

GermanyThere are parking spaces nearby on the main access road, which are also free, there is usually always one free, otherwise you have to go to the multi-storey car park around the corner. It is unusual that there is no breakfast, you have to look for a café in Namur, it is best to book in advance, otherwise it could get crowded from 9.30 a.m. onwards, but that seems to be normal in Namur.
The accommodation is located on a quiet bicycle street near the citadel, it is all fully digital, it is within walking distance of the centre, if you have found a parking space nearby you can make good tours by car from there.

Germany[Concerns room no. 1] While the initial design of the accommodations may appear pleasing at first glance, it unfortunately falls short in quality. Regrettably, several issues marred our stay. There was a mouldy smell in the corridor, the shower lacked functionality, and the windows were so inadequately insulated that they allowed every noise from the adjacent old shopping street to permeate our room, from the ongoing car traffic to the resounding church bells at 100 m distance. This resulted in an unfortunate 3 a.m. awakening courtesy of rowdy, late-night revellers. Furthermore, the walls exhibited no soundproofing capabilities, which led to another early morning disturbance at 6 a.m. as we were awoken by the sounds of our neighbour's morning shower routine. To compound matters, I had previously communicated a specific room request during the booking process, but unfortunately, it went unaddressed. Moreover, the company twice requested my email address for the purpose of sending door keys or access codes, which ultimately proved unnecessary as they later transmitted this information via the booking platform.

Very nice location. Only 3 minutes walk from the center. Right next to the citadel. A perfect parking-garage on less than 100 mtrs away. The hotel is brand new. Very modern and tasteful design. The room was not too big but it has all the comfort you need. A small refrigerator and a perfect bed. The bathroom is super! Very quiet place at night. A small tip: We had to find out which check-in panel we had to use, but that was our own fault ;-) There are two panels and you need the second panel, coming from the parking. The panel that says: "Rooms" We met the owners by chance (it is a self-service check in. ) Very friendly and helpful people. We certainly recommend the hotel and would like to come back here. The perfect stay for a visit to Namur.
