How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It is kinda noisy outside and AC was not working.
The room is big and clean. The hotel is very near Brussels North train station and the Flixbus drop off and hop on station. The fact that you can leave your bag with them after check out for free is a plus! This will keep your bag safe and you can continue visiting places around without dragging your luggage with you.

The facilities need serious improvemnete, our shower had tape on it to keep it together and the tape was leaking and you had to be careful so the jet didn't hit your eyes or hair. Also there was a hole in the outside of the bathtub.
The staff was very friendly and the breakfast delicious.

Lot of noise outside at night time - sounded like football, lot of drinking. Felt unsafe at night walking back late to hotel and could hear police and ambulances. AC, TV and hairdryer did not work in the bedroom. Also very far away from everything / lot of walking involved

The hotel is in a "popular" side of the city and is very loud, also being on top of the police station makes it even louder. The equipments were actually pretty old but they do the job.
The staff was very nice, the room was clean and house keeping was cleaning on a regular basis

Main problem was drainage issue on bathroom sink with open hole, it was very slow and would fill up immediately. Toilet, when you flush it looks fine and after some times its dirty again. Could hear a lot of noise at night from outside. Neighborhood doesn't feel safe, there was even some crime incident on the day of our checkin so our short path to the hotel was blocked by police and we had to take a long way to reach hotel.
The staff were nice, also allowed to put our luggage, easy checkin, near the train station. Rooms were spacious (had booked 2 rooms for family).

It gives an old and dingy vibe. We were surprised not to have access to electric kettle in our room. The toilet needs replacing or at least some thorough cleaning.
The receptionist guy was extremely nice and helpful! The bed was rather comfy and we definitely enjoyed the view! It was quite nice for a short stay.

Location is good for Gare du Nord and Rogiet but the area around the hotel is not the best. No facilities (eg no tea or coffee in room)

It was in a suspicious neighborhood, so as a group of girls we didn't feel quite safe walking around. If we had to go out during the night we used bolt sevice.. Upstairs guests were extremely noisy and there is a police station nearby which creates a lot of noise and might disturb sleep if you are a light sleeper.. the toilet is separate from the sink so it is a little hussle to wash your hands
Hotel staff was professional, they changed the towels every day, it was close to metro station and not far away from the centre...

Hotel is really close to some sort of a ghetto, like across the street, so late night walks are not really comfortable. But the police station is right on the corner so we didn't have any issues with it. Just to let you know.
Clean room, comfortable beds. Clean towels every day. Very helpful staff. Recommend it in that way.

There is an extra locked door in my room, I guess it connected to another guest room. This door has almost no sound insulation, makes it hard for me to sleep. Maybe other rooms do not have this issue.
Close to public transport stations, warm reception. There is a restaurant on the ground floor, which provides 3 meals of the day.

Staff needs some improvement in communication with guests. Some of them are friendly and smiling, while some are strictly professional and not too friendly.
Room is nice and spacious. Location is perfect, if speaking about proximity of the city center. Neighborhood is bit scary at the night, but it is acceptable. Breakfast is quite good, just be sure to come at least before 8.30, later on you won't be able to enjoy full offer (around 9h no croissants, for example).
