Eye gouging prices on parking and buffet breakfast for guests. I feel like guest should not be penalized for wanting to bring their car, free parking should be the norm like in the US.

The staff in the bar and breakfast room are not exactly friendly, they could be called 'brusque' at best, but I found them quite offensive, especially in the bar

Can't fault anything.

Superbly situated for exploring Ghent on foot (and Ghent is well worth exploring). Very modern and comfortable, very professionally run, highly competent and very helpful staff. Very good and easily accessible parking facilities which aren't that common in hotels in this type of location (be sure to follow the hotel's advice and register your car in advance to legally access the city centre).We had a flat tyre on our day of departure, and the manager could not have been more helpful in getting it sorted for us. Thank you, sir!

The only thing we didn't like was the elevator and lack of stairs. If there are multiple people trying to use the elevator, at different floors, it can take a long time to get on the elevator and then get to your desired floor. This is the elevator furthest from the front desk. When we went to go check out, it literally took about 15 minutes to get on the elevator and then get off. It wouldn't be so bad if there were steps to take. There are steps, but they lead you outside of the building only.

The location was perfect. Right in the middle of everything. The bar was very nice with a huge TV screen above it. Staff was great. Drinks were very good. Bar food was good.

Breakfast was expensive but we were happy to take a snack in the Poppi Café.

Location is perfect right in the middle of historic Ghent. Car parking is available on site but the star of the show was the hotel manager who took us on a guided tour of the hotel and a superb view of Ghent from the viewing platform on the roof. All in all a great experience

Location ia the best you can have in Ghent. The building is beautiful and the view to the canal magnificent. Very tasty breakfast and helpful staff. The rooms are pretty large, even though some things are missing. Comfortable bed and pillows.

The location is excellent and the room is really clean and quiet. The bar in the lobby is really nice and comfortable.

Would like the staff at the reception to be friendlier though overall they were good. What I did not appreciate is the fact that the hotel could not provide a single generic paracetamol pill when I had a headache. It was late in the evening when the pharmacies and grocery stores are closed.

Bit dated now, have stayed there 5 times since 2013 and it’s looking a bit tired now. Car park is extremely expensive.

Perfect location for exploring Gent. Parking was great and easily accessible. All staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Room was quiet and comfortable. Really enjoyed choices at breakfast.

At the check in the staff lady assumed thst I was sleeping in the same room with my friend. She didn't ask the detail of the booking. Due to this she mistakenly added a fee to one room and forgot to remove it. We had to sourt out this issue at our check out.

House keeping could be at weird times but no issue. Only 1 bathroom in room for couple and it wasn’t soft at all.

Amazing location and hotel! Right in the heart of Ghent and beautiful original facade. Hotel room was so big and very comfortable bed/bathroom. Daily chocolates left on the bed were appreciated, especially being Belgian chocolate!

That we had to come home!!

Fabulous room, and view. Brilliant extras like toiletries, bottled water every day,a chocolate everyday. Excellent breakfasts. All the staff we came across were very helpful and welcoming and because it was my daughter's 50th birthday they left a card and chocolates in our room. We can't thank you all enough for making our stay so special. It was our first stay in a Marriott hotel,I hope they are all as perfect as this one

A little overpriced. Also, the room was a bit out-dated, and should be renovated. There were no slippers in the room as well.

The property’s location is fantastic, on the canal and minutes away from all the attractions in the city. Breakfast was amazing, with a lot of options. Staff were very kind and helpful.
