Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesIt's hard to imagine a hotel could have better. I had the usual problem with the keycard that it can be difficult to unlock the door and need to be reprogrammed.
Staff was very helpful when I checked in early and concerned that the room might be too small, but since I was traveling alone it was perfect for one person. And the location opposite the church was ideal, and it was noiseless. It's too bad the Eurostar I was traveling on arrives at and departs from Brussels Midi rather than Central, which would have been more convenient, and travelers might want to take a different train from Amsterdam and to Paris so that they can walk the 400 meters from Brussels Central, but then the Eurostar is great for speed.

United StatesThe train station is walking distance from hotel, but dragging our luggage through cobblestone-paved street was a bit of challenge.
The hotel is located at very nice neighborhood, easy walking to all tourist sights. We had a room with nice views of the street market and cathedral. The breakfast provided in hotel was amazing.

Location in a very quiet and beautiful square, near Brussels main attractions. Hotel extremely confortable, quick checkin process and delicious breakfast. Despite the bedroom is for single person, it is very confortable with all amenitiies, the bed embrace you.

United KingdomThis is my new favourite hotel chain. I find that the service is exceptional. The hotel restaurant is very good and was fully booked when we showed up at the busiest time on a Friday night. The manager made us comfortable at the bar, found us a table as soon as one was open and personally served us as the staff was so busy. Also the breakfast is fantastic and good coffee. That checks all my boxes for an excellent stay.

New ZealandThe only surprise is that the lovely grand sablon square is a car park. What a pity. This does not affect the quality of the property itself.
This is a nice location in an area that feels very safe. It is not in the the centre of the action in Brussels but that makes it quiet. It is a ten minute walk to the railway station and the centre of the old city so very convenient. The room was spacious and facilities good. When the bathroom basin waste became disconnected it was fixed and cleaned up within a few minutes. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Very accommodating and helpful staff. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was satisfying, and even if we stayed on the 1st floor, we had a big window we can open for light and air to come in. Room size was perfect! And the location is quiet, yet near the good restos and just a 10-min walk to the square. Lovely find!!

United StatesThe pillows and comforter were not as comfortable as those of most other 5 star hotels we have stayed at. The filling of the pillows and comforter did not feel luxurious to me. But this could be a personal preference.
Our room was spacious, pretty and with a beautiful view of the cathedral. Breakfast was yummy. Location excellent. We walked less than 15 mins to get to the Grand Place.
