Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

EstoniaHotel restaurant was overbooked for dinner. Luckily the receptionist helped us to find a pizza guy who solved our meal problem. The hotel is quite close to the airport and the noise of the flights was clearly heard in the room.
They have a comfortable airport shuttle service.

We ended up splitting our kids in 2 rooms. I don't know if the issue was with the hotel or with booking@com

PortugalThe shuttle bus is very useful but doesn’t always turn up for pick up at the airport. Even though I had reserved and paid in advance, I waited for half an hour in the cold in the evening and ended up taking a taxi. Receptionist was nice and at least gave me a complimentary ride back to the airport. That was was on time and smooth.
Very clean and comfortable room, nice breakfast with lots of choices (enjoyed the fresh smoothies a lot). Modern feel. Restaurant was great for dinner, good food and nice, efficient service. The little shop is super practical, and I love that you can pay w self check out.

United KingdomBar not open when advertised as open, we had to effectively argue with staff for them to serve us, TV in reception stated bar open from 5pm but they argued it was 6pm, they did eventually serve us but shouldn't have to have argued the point, it was a festive break and after a long journey we wanted to unwind. Then later had the same issue bar closed, we were back at 11pm and the TVs in the rooms suggest the bar is open to 1.30am. This was a trip with friends over the Christmas period and this was very disappointing.
Perfect location for our trip and only 20 minutes by train from Brussels centre
