Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomTotally fine stay could use a bit of work in the rooms / bathroom but everything functioned well/ They would make more money if they had somewhere to store bikes safely overnight for a more comfortable stay considering the location to nature. Staff where totally fine but all in all nothing remarkable for the price we where a bit disappointed that we weren't even offered a map or any information on the surrounding vicinity. However perhaps this is what some people prefer but for us it wasn't worth the price compared to other places nearby.

GermanyI was expecting a slightly bigger room as I had booked a junior suite. The bathroom was almost the same size as the room, which didn't make that much sense in my opinion, a lot of wasted space.
It's a beautiful little Hotel in a quaint little town. The room was excellent and the bathroom huge with a gigantic (hot) tub. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was very good and had a wide variety.

NetherlandsWe ordered, and paid for a large double bed in the suite, only to find out that the property did not have any double beds in the suites, only single beds (although so we were told). These beds moved easily, and weren't very large. The hotel staff couldn't help us other than letting us go to a much smaller regular room with a double bed without bath. And that's not what we came for. The staff didn't make any effort as to make up for this misser, which adds up to the disappointment. Next time I will double check the bed booking details with the hotel, and that's my recommendation to anyone going here.
The location is nice, close to the park. But it's also next to a busy road.
