Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineThe breakfast had very limited options and for a price of 18pp we found it not a good value for money.
The room looked modern and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. A huge bonus was a jacuzzi bath. It helped us to relax after a long day of exploring the city.

United KingdomA distance from the station with a case, but doable once you know the route. Need to walk to the station to get a tram to the old centre.
A spacious comfortable room, attractive lay out. Tea and coffee making in room. Comfortable bed. Small hotel with attractive outside areas. Breakfast was good, lots of fresh, home made items, lots of choice.

United Kingdomthe only thing was that it is close to the rail tracks. This was not a problem for me as I did not hear any noise through the night and I always use ear plugs. It was not an issue for me.
The room and bed were fantastic. Great shower. The whole experience was excellent and I liked the extra things such as free water in the room and the food corner. The breakfast was superb. It was good to see that this hotel is very green. I didn't use the garden but it looked lovely. It was close to the station and easy to get into the centre of town. I walked but there is a good bus and tram service. Very close to beautiful parks and also the Fine Art Gallery.

PolandFor me everything was perfect.
Obviously the owners paid attention to their guests’ needs. Everything inside was just so atmospheric and pretty! I stayed in a beautifully designed, completely new room with a kettle, tea and coffee, fridge and a very comfortable bed. Toiletries by my favourite brand in the bathroom. Lovely lighting in the room. And something I hadn’t seen before - the room was equipped with a glass bottle which I could refill for free with still or sparkling water from a tap in the dining area. Amazing - no need for plastic bottles! The dining area (cafeteria?) had snacks, a coffee machine, a few types of leaf tea, pre-made meals in the freezer and a microwave oven. Plates, cups, glasses, cutlery you could use at any time. The reception closes at 8 but you could take a snack or a meal, write your room number on a receipt, leave it in the reception and pay for it at checkout. No worries for hungry late comers! The reception had umbrellas for the guests - I used them a few times. I stayed there for almost two weeks and the hotel let me leave some of my luggage in the storage room over the weekend while I was away in another city. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready for a chat. Overall I was amazed by the experience!

United KingdomShower was extremely slippery and quite dangerous. Charge for parking was unreasonable. I think it should have been free to guests.
Room was clean and functional. Bed was cosy and large. Large TV with many channels. Situated opposite entrance and ground floor. Quiet location We were able to lock up our bikes safely for the duration of our stay.

United KingdomI cannot think of anything!
Much better than expected for a 3 star hotel.. This Is a family run hotel and I appreciated their attention to detail, their anticipation of guests' needs. The breakfast choice was varied and many offerings were homemade - jam, yoghurt, kefir, cakes. I also appreciated the food corner - homemade meals to heat in the microwave and enjoy in the dining room, conservatory or, on warm days, in the garden. For tired solo travellers, the option of a home cooked meal without having to go out was a relief. The hotel provided useful local information and public transport tickets and maps. The hotel is an easy flat walk to the railway station, being parallel to the railway tracks. But even if your room looks on to the road and rail, you do not hear any trains or traffic. The hotel is also an easy walk to Citadel Park and two art galleries.

Costa RicaThe location, although nice, is slightly away from the centre. Nothing that can’t be solved by taking the tram if you’re too tired to walk.
The hotel is a really nice and cozy family hotel and the staff makes you feel right at home. The rooms are very comfortable and it’s great value for your money.

BelgiumThe only thing i didnt like is just the tv in my room being at an awkward angle, but even that is just a nitpick.
The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming. Alot of facilities that help you throughout your stay even when staff isnt present in the middle of the night with their self serve spots for food and drinks. All based on a trust system to note down what you took. I come here every year up to 2 times a year even.
