our room was located on the second floor and im not sure wether there was a family room above us but we were hearing people running and moving chairs very early all morning. Nothing that the hotel can do about it but maybe for light sleepers get a room on one of the top floor .

We stayed in the room overlooking the canal and it was beautiful and roomy ! staff is very helpful, location is great ; walking distance to everything but quiet at nighyt, breakfast is great and bountiful! We were fortunate enough to have great weather so we enjoyed cooling off in the pool. Would definitely stay here again

Everything was great.

Beautiful property! We just finished a 2 night stay and it could not have been more pleasant. The hotel is housed in a historic building right on one of the main canals in Gent and the views from our room were simply stunning. The room we originally booked was unavailable so we were upgraded into a luxury suite with a balcony and canal view. The staff was so kind and helpful and really added a level of luxury we weren't expecting. The breakfast was incredible and this is one of the view properties we found with a rooftop pool which we fully enjoyed ever day after walking around town. Incredible location, staff and comfort. Five stars!

Beautiful location, right on the river. Our room had everything we needed and more, fresh bottled water and the fridge was a bonus, I loved the whirlpool bath. Bottled water was available day or night from reception, free of charge. Breakfast was great, a fantastic selection and eggs cooked to order. Staff were extremely helpful and very pleasant. I would certainly stay again.

I had a room at the back of the hotel and at the top. Very spacious. The bathroom was new and provided with plenty of towels. I had a suite which was lovely. I had breakfast on the last day and it was great. I asked for an Americo coffee via a coffee machine a the coffee was perfect

Beautiful, clean room with high ceiling. Excellent location. With the exception of one unpleasant condescending Front Manager, all of the staff members were wonderful. Imen and Nancy, in particular, were lovely and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and to help me navigate the city.

Their booking chat was hacked, and as a result we paid the cost of the reservation to hackers. I was very surprised that the hotel didn't mention this when we checked in. I asked about the progress of the case, and they said it was being looked into and was "very bad", but they didn't ask whether we were affected. I did expect they would do something even as a small gesture, like free late checkout, or free drinks. I also would have liked a double mattress for such an expensive room, rather than two single mattresses joined together. This wasn't massively comfy.

The views, facilities and cleanliness. Staff were friendly enough, although when we arrived an hour early and the room wasn't ready, they said it would be ready "around" the time we were officially due to check in, or half an hour late. Would expect it to be ready on time, even if not early.

River view balcony. Spacious room. True vacation vibe with bathrobes and slippers. Flat bottle of water offered daily. We could purchase drinks from the bar and take it to our room. Lift access to upper levels. Great selection for breakfast. We had the option to sit outside facing the river whilst eating. Easy enough for a taxi to get to. Great location- center of town.

Your bookings getting hacked.

We liked everything about the hotel and its location. It’s a gem. However, hackers got through your security and wreaked havoc with their (and our) booking, causing that nice family owned hotel much grief and the defrauded guests much difficulty. How will you plan to make it up to everyone involved? Again 10/10 hotel itself. Charming staff, ideal location, wonderful rooms.

One of the best hotel rooms we have stayed in for a city break. Situated in heart of Ghent looking over the river. We had a family room which was very spacious, the jacuzzi bath in the room was super and great to relax after day of sightseeing. Spa robes were provided and slippers. Good coffee in the room.

The property was beautiful and in the perfect location. A stunning suite and beautiful pool. The best part of our short stay was the amazing and helpful staff. They could not do enough to make us comfortable and help with every query even recommending restaurants and tourist spots.
