It was dufficult to find an available room in weekend, as there are not so many rooms, the castle is always fully booked in weekends...

Amazing location close to the walking areas in the forest, interesting historical building, very freindly and helpful staff, comfortable big room, nice beds, good breakfest. We enjoyed our stay there and will definitely return.

Not really a dislike, but it could do with a good interior design uplift - it has enormous potential, that should be realised - eg the small Vermeer print above the stately reception area!

We had a very comfortable and homely stay at Pietersheim - in wonderful, quiet surroundings. I really enjoyed my early morning walks round the old moated castle ruin. The place is a gem!

The access to the room was clear, just a little bit surprised not to see someone as early in the day. Confort of the bathroom with the bathtub & curtain but it is ok.

Beautiful place, well located, calm spot. Easy access for car and entrance to the room. Good volume in the bedroom, confortable and with good lighting. Great price for the offer. Clean, efficient: Satisfied overal.

Everything was nice and I'm glad a discovered it.

The building and the room are really beautiful, and the nature and old castle ruins next to it, make it special. The bathroom is beautifully designed with Villeroy&Bosch bathtub. It is located a short 13 minute drive from Maastricht.

The sound insulation in the building could perhaps be somewhat improved, as when other guests came home at night we could hear the talking in the hallways easily. However, they were respectful and it was not an issue for us.

Kasteel Pietersheim is a beautiful old castle at a wonderful location right at the border of a big nature park. The location was perfect for us. The owner/manager was extremely helpful and kind, she even started breakfast 15 minutes early for us so we would be able to eat before leaving in the morning. The beds were comfortable, very tasteful interior, and overall a lovely atmosphere and stay. We will come back.

We booked 3 rooms for two nights. Specifically asking for two rooms with king beds and one room with two twin beds. We arrived late in the evening and had to do self check-in. None of the rooms were two twin beds. Two of the rooms had awful smells, one significantly worse than the other. Parents took that room. It smelled of mold and both of us had sore throats and runny noses within 30 minutes of being in the room. This room also had no door on the bathroom…? Just a half wall….no doors on showers, no curtains, nothing. Just open space and next to no privacy. We did not stay the second night. We left and paid for a hotel in Brussels.

We were put in a room in the attic, which had very little light coming in. The room had an unpleasant odour, and signs of moisture/mold. The hotel itself felt like it was an events venue, with no bar or restaurant.

The location is stunning - next to an old castle ruins and nice national forest. The breakfast was pleasant.

Breakfast was served in the room, all though it was already allowed to be in the restaurant or outside. u Upon arrival no staff available, no water in the room, empty fridge and only cheap black tea, cheap coffee and creamer. Mold around the tiles and calcium around taps.

Great surrounding and beautiful building. An authentic place to stay. Very silent and ideal for walks and bike trips. Good beds. If better managed this would be a great place!
