Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaVery inflexible in relation to early check in or late check out. We only asked for check in 30 mins prior to the scheduled 2pm and they still said no. Because of this we had to check in at 3am when we got back from Tomorrowland. Check out was also firm for 11am the following morning.
The room was so spacious it was almost like it’s own suite! The reception staff were lovely and helpful. We attended Tomorrowland and were unfortunately only in the room for a few hours so didn’t get full use of the facilities.

GermanyUnfortunately, there is a construction site at the stock market building which caused quite a bit of construction noise early in the morning and due to the central location and the summertime you hear people in the streets late at night. They only have queen-sized beds which were super small for two people. Additionally, the staff was very friendly but the rooms were cleaned super late in the day (mostly like between 3 and 5 in the afternoon) and on one day not at all.
The location right next to the stock market building right in the center of Brussels. The hotel itself is not too big but the staff was friendly and the rooms relatively clean. The breakfast room is rather spectacular and while the selection was not huge, it was decent and you could order freshly made scrambled eggs.

United KingdomThe bathroom screams for renovation, no AC in the room, no fan in the bathroom, tiles on the walls cracked, some towels had holes in it, cleaning in the room was quite poor: added new towels without taking the old ones back, cleaned the coffee machine but forgot to assemble it back. Quite a poor check-in experience - checked in at 16:00 but the room was not ready and the front-desk was not even aware of that

North MacedoniaThe room had roof windows which looked directly into the neighbors balcony. There is absolutely no privacy when the windows are open and they have to be open since the room had no air-conditioning and was too warm inside. Also when it rained and the windows were open, water fell directly onto the bed, again windows had to be open in order for the room to be breathable (rooftop room gets like a sauna). The portable fans we had did not help. Biggest downside for me were the towels which some had stains on them.
The location is perfect, right in the center and also next to a metro station. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Staff was amazing.

the location was really great, close to the central station and royal palace, the person that helped us with the checking was really nice, great service. We were 4 and the room was enough for us. They store our bags because we arrived early.

United Statesbathroom a bit small, and no AC but even on a rare hot summer day in June, the big windows that open out onto the square cooled the room off fast once the sun set. ample hot water for showers for 4 of us and super comfy beds.
Location is awesome just 3 tram stops from midi, or one train stop and a small walk from central. Great staff! Very accommodating dropped our bags off several hours before checkin, and they had them in our room for us when ready.

I have breakfast in nearby coffee shop. Hotel is located just round the corner of the Meteo station. Most tourist attractions are in walking distance. Fatima who works in the front desk is exceptional helpful.
