How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

This property was a gem! It completely blew our expectations, the location, the view, the tranquility and of course, the food..everything was perfect, can't wait to return .

The dinner at the restaurant couldn’t fully meet my expectations given the price, but it’s still a nice and convenient place to eat and drink belgian beer.
Very well made, in the middle of beautiful nowhere, feels more like relaxed 4 stars. Be sure to check out their bungalows if traveling as a couple. I had a really great time, was at -2 Floor above the Water and not directly under the restaurant (Nr. 5). There were some minor episodes of noise from the restaurant but it wasn’t loud or long enough to really bother: I spent all the time with slightly opened balcony door. All in all: Modern and cozy design, tasty breakfast, pleasant relaxation area, super friendly and helpful staff rocking the place: I really enjoyed my time there and would be happy to come back someday. There was just about enough parking spaces and the way there and to the attractions was stunningly beautiful and full of animals. Dinant and a lot of castles and attractions are available in 10-25min drive. France: 5 min.

- restaurant - we saw that the restaurant is busy, but to be honest the food was just bad. Every dish we had was below average. Very bad value for money. - paper thin walls. - our room was below restaurant terrace. It was not noisy, it was loud. No chance to sleep until restaurant is totally closed. - sofa bed - squeaky as it gets. looked like it could fall apart any time. Really poor sleep quality. ( Funny enough the double bed was very good quality)
- location - it is really quiet around the hotel, but at the same time it is really in the middle of nowhere. There is absolutely nothing to do in a walking distance, not even a path to take a walk - staff- very friendly and helpful. The English language level of the most of staff is very limited but they are really nice - nice drinks in restaurant (food very bad, pls see below)

We couldn't get the heating to work in the room but the duvet was so thick and warm it didn't matter much to us.
Spacious room with amazing bathrooms. Large comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and helpful

it was a shame that we couldn't have dinner in the hotel as it was fully booked and we only learnt that upon arrival. There are multiple options in the nearby town centre though, but you will need to have a car to get to it as it's not quite walking distance ;)
very nice setting with the rooms having their own private balcony giving onto a little lake (pond) at the back of the property. Modern fittings in the rooms, very clean and tidy.

Unfortunately sound-protection seems to have been forgotten. Also a walking map of the village and surroundings would have come handy. Finally, it was a bit cold in the evening/night.
Modern house with quite nice rooms. Good bed and good breakfast.

The hotel is rather over-priced for what it offers. This is particularly the case for meals, egregiously so for the minimal breakfast provided. Breakfast service was quite rude, insisting at first that no booking existed for me followed by an abrupt change of heart when I said 'never mind'. The hotel is in a scenic setting but otherwise in 'the middle of nowhere'.
Pleasant room, clean and with Scandinavian-style decor. Friendly and helpful reception on arrival.

Very very noisy. We were woken up at 6:30 AM on a sunday morning by kitchen noises. The kitchen is on the top floor and the rooms are beneath it. Very bad design and very bad insulation. Don’t go there if you want a relaxed night sleep.

Most of the staff don't speak/understand english.
The place is beautiful, clean and great surroundings, perfect for relaxing. The room is big and with complete amenities 👌🏾
