Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Belgium- The window in front of the bed gives directly to the owner's personal property. (We didn't feel comfortable at all). - We found a pair of underwear that wasn't ours on the floor and when we notified it, the owner didn't apologise and told us to just throw it away. - The property could be cleaner. - The is no heating in the (big) bathroom. - The owner is not friendly and lies about facs when we complained to booking.
The main room is well decorated.

United StatesWORST PLACE WE HAVE STAYED. Road noise all night. People walking upstairs and talking after 11pm. No internet, no toilet paper, no soap or shampoo, no hand towels, no hand washing soap, no cup or glass, no tea or coffee, no air conditioning and no one on site to talk to. I DO NOT recommend this place.

GermanyThere was no way to lock the door to our room. The people/owners, who also lived in that house, shared part of the floor with us. One morning they started playing loud music at 8 o’clock. Unfortunately no real privacy.

Very great accommodation for couples (or small group of two friends) who appreciate to stay close Bastogne town and its memmoriabilitiese (2nd war battlefield and museums). Well equipped for shorter stay. Great parking place in front of the house.

United StatesGetting to the room was a bit confusing. If you’re staying in room 121 know that there’s a lock box next to the garage with a key to get into the private room and bathroom.
