Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThis hotel has seen its better days. It would need a renovation. The corridors etc. should be cleaned better. Basically, I do not have any complaints about the room, you should either, if you do not care carrying your bags to upper floors.
The room was spacious and there was plenty of space to park a car. The restaurant downstairs is perfect, but remember to book the table beforehand! For the price, this hotel is totally ok, just do not expect too much. Also, a word about the service, the young man serving also in the restaurant was really nice and humorous. I was wondering if to give 6 or 7, but the restaurant does not belong to the hotel, so I decided to give the number for just the hotel.

FranceIt's a bit far from anywhere you'd actually want to visit, but that's about all.
You get what you pay for. It was better than the horrible corporate places where everything is formica and chipboard, but it wasn't somewhere where I'd want to spend my holidays. For one or two nights, it's fine. The bed was all right, the room was quiet, and the breakfast was up to scratch. You can park in the hotel's car park, which is open to the road, although if the restaurant is full when you arrive, you may have trouble finding a place.

United KingdomThere wasn't a lot of hot water - took a long time to get any through - but it was o.k.
The room was spacious and comfortable, there was no a/c, but once I opened the windows it was fine. The TV and TV services were very good. Plenty of free parking which was helpful.

New ZealandWe were on the second floor and there is no lift. Not a problem for us, but it could be for others. Also a few more signs indicating room directions would be helpful.
Plrnty of space in our room, although it did need dusting.. Cable TV and a small fridge was a bonus

GermanyWe were in room 8. It was hot with no way to open the window (a skylight.) The fan gave some relief. Very uncomfortable up against the roof on a hot day.

United StatesWe were disappointed however, when we got in around 20:00 and tried to have dinner at the restaurant on premisses but turned away. We were told it was booked up. We also were not a fan of the hallway lights going out at dark. We couldn't see our way to our rooms.
Cute hotel, good price overall. Friendly staff. The bed was comfortable with all the linens and required necessities.

United KingdomVery creaky floorboard (old building) which would have been a problem if I was in room below. But I wasn't, so yay!
Very nice after spending previous nights in lower budget hotels. Lovely big TV with Netflix which was just what I needed after long drives on previous days. Really nice bathroom and generally large and spacious bed and room.

RomaniaFirst, breakfast is served until 9 am , I would suggest to be at least until 10 am since not everyone is getting up that early. The rooms are nice but a bit cold and you can hear when someone passes the hallway due to the fact that it’s an old building ( but no one was bothering cause none of the guests were up late)
We arrived earlier and they let us take our luggage in the room so we can leave for our trips. It has a nice terrace outside and a garden for kids to play. The breakfast was good. The room was clean. The staff helped us getting a taxi. They have a restaurant and serve lunch and dinner which is great if you don’t want to pay for taxis to get in the city and back . If you have kids there is plenty of games, puzzles and books you can keep them entertained ( in our case the second day was raining so we stayed in) .
