Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumWe had a reservation made upfront by telephone at the restaurant, which they seemed to have lost. But they could give us a table anyhow and dinner was very good. Some of the restaurant waiters were a bit less welcoming. Access to the hotel by car was time consuming: lot's of traffic in the main road. The trash bin in the bathroom had not been emptied after the previous guests.
The breakfast is really great with plenty of choice, both hot and cold dishes and meat. Formally it opens at 7.30 only which we found late, but we went early 7.15 and everything was ready. The room was very nice, with parquet (much cleaner than carpet). Bathroom was spacious.

United KingdomNo lift, so drag luggage upstairs.
Hotel is very central. Our room in the annexe was huge . Breakfast was way beyond expectation, but with a €20 price tag. F Able to unload and re-pack at reserved bays before parking the bikes for free in the a little way off, otherwise it would have been a slog from the garage to the room. The welcoming chilled drink was a very nice touch.

United StatesThere was noting that could be identified as a drawback.
Location is downtown Bastogne. The room was excellent. Not a traditional hotel, the room was in a separate location from the main property. Breakfast was excellent and served just above an attached restaurant which was outstanding. Parking is right behind the hotel and free.

United StatesFortunately, the weather during my September visit was ideal so the room was comfortable at night. They placed me in a loft room which required a journey of three floors up a very steep staircase. Recommend a lower floor room for those not having the capability to handle the stairs. Meals including breakfast, are not included in the price of the room.
My number 1 criterion is location. If luxury is important, this hotel may not be able to accommodate your needs. The top floor/loft room accommodates 3 people (one queen and one single) The location was perfect for "walking" into the heart of Bastogne. Parking is available and is located behind the hotel. Shopping, restaurants, historic sites, and museums are within a few minutes of the hotel. The hotel's restaurant has a great menu. It is popular with the locals and visitors. The breakfast buffet serves as a fine example of what is delicious about French food. I did not partake in lunch or dinner.

United KingdomNo kettle etc. was disappointing and no bath mat surprising. For that we used a hand towel. Other than that nothing wrong.
The annex could do with being updated and there are small details which would improve the stay. However working air conditioning in the middle of a heatwave was fabulous. And the location overlooking the square was also impressive. Private parking at the back of the hotel was also excellent for our 2 motorcycles.

United KingdomCar park at rear was mainly gravel and made it difficult to manoeuvre a fully laden motorcycle. Perhaps a dedicated tarmac area for motos in the future?
The restaurant although a little on the expensive side served absolutely fantastic food. The breakfast was lovely too, a good selection to suit most people.
