I am really picky in terms of cleanliness. It as alright but not the best. They had to change the pillows. The cleaning staff must have done a good job. They didn’t fill the shampoo and body soap. I need to ask. Since I stayed for a long time, they offered me to provide cleaning service again. Thanks for that. English spoken staff would also help.

Location is great but there was a huge construction work on the street and they start at 7 am! So, I couldn’t sleep in mornings at all. The walls are very thin and the isolation was not the best. You also hear everything when people go in and out. Overall, it is ok.

There was a leak in the room upstairs of ours and Ayer had dripped through the ceiling. I tried to contact the owner but he messaged me back hours afterwards… Communication could be better.

The room was very cosy and the bed very comfortable. The location was perfect for us as we needed to take the bus close by the next day. It’s close to central station and shops and restaurants. Kitchen and bathroom were also good. Good value for money.

The lamp on the top floor apartment is broken near the entrance. It didn't bother, but just for the staff to know.

The only thing we didn't like is that it was very noisy outside and we couldn't sleep till 2 am because the windows are old wooden ones there were no soundproofing , I would suggest to upgrade the windows.

The location is great not far away from the main street of the center with a lot of shops , restaurants .... The check in was easy , and the staff flexible. All the furniture to cook to make a coffee was provided.

Two apartments on the last floor have a really bad smell of the wooden construction. It was so bad we had to sleep with windows open. Sound isolation of windows is bad. As apartments are located across the garage, after 10 pm they open and close the metal garage door whenever someone enters and exits, and that produces a lot of noise which was waking us up during the night.

My colleagues and I stayed in all 4 apartments they had to offer. All of them were very clean and nice. The location is really good if you need to take a public transfer somewhere. Easy check-in and communication with a host.

Re communication: I had to pay the city taxes in advance to get the code for the key. Unfortunately some banking details were missing. I e-mailed and texted the landlord, but would not receive any reply. I even googled the firm renting the appartment, but since they did not speak sufficiently English and were also working in the back-office, they could not help me. Very disappointing communication. Re location: Next to the appartment was construction work and it was very loud. Re cleaning: It was not properly cleaned. Re equipment: The pictures look so nice but I was missing love in the details like nice shower equipment - there was just cheap family shampoo in the shower, some rand tea and coffee. Re neighbors: they rent at least two other rooms and there is a smoking area. You can here every step of the neighbors and one even pushed their luggage down the stairs one morning. A light was broken in the staircase and it was dirty in the entrance/staircare area and the smoking area, a very small patio.

The lock on the door did not work well. Spent 15 min trying to close it and did not manage. Towels were old and looked grey, linen were not starched and felt old too. Personally, I do not like artificial flowers - they make the room look cheap.

The apartment was not very clean. There was a large sticky spill on the floor near the bed, and a box of empty taco shells in the drawers? Additionally, the drains smelled really bad. The hand soap was also empty. The blinds were also poor - a couple of them were broken and the mechanism for closing them with the slanted ceilings was extremely DIY (not 'luxury'!) and 3/4 of them didn't actually stay in place at night. Linens had coffee stainson them.

The apartment location and price were both really good. We chose this one because of the beautiful period features (the wooden beams and typical Belgian building). It was very central but not too close to the busy roads, it felt safe. They also set up a very cute swan scene with the towels which was a nice touch. We also apprecaited being provided with a fan as it was very hot at night.

There is a lot of noise from bars, the street and parties at night. Maybe a different room (this was room 2) would not have this problem. Closing the windows did not do much for the noise.

The only down side would be I guess the narrow stairs. But the host already mentions it before the booking. And the rooms walls and the ceiling might have been a little thin. Because occasionally we could hear a few footsteps from our upstair neighbours during the night. But not like something unbearable. And hey, its an old building and it was something one could totally expect. And finally comparing to the price point, location and the place itself. Those things were not even an issue for us.

It was beyond our expectations and we had a wonderful stay. Plus we felt the owner gave a lot of thought and heart into the place from a guests prespective and needs. We very much loved the place. Cheers,

definitely expensive for what it is, and small tweaks could elevate it even more. e.g. really cheap shampoo / shower gel bottles in the bathroom ruin the luxurious bathroom vibe. overall would not call it a luxury suite. it’s a great room but perhaps name is mismanaging expectations

It was noisy during the night, we heard everythig that happened on the street, each word of the persons who talked outside. This was a little bit annoying.

I didnt have hot water on my first day and 1/2 of day 2. They are not the most responsive group. Takes 30 mins to get a reply. Once i didnt get a reply at all. Didn’t realize the radiator was somehow connected to the hot water. So when i turned up the heating, i got hot water. Also, city tax was not included in booking.com so i had to bank transfer that before getting the key info. Luckily, i have a sister in Europe that could do the transfer. Other than these inconveniences, it is worth it and it is a beautiful and clean apartment

First time navigation to the appartment. You need to read instructions carefully. in the video of the key collection boxes that they are sending, it is 6 boxes with keys, but actually it is 4 boxes so which was confusing. i was thinking i made to the wrong address though. Host has communication delay of 20-50 minutes. If you need something urgently or stuck somewhere, do not expect response in 5 minutes
