Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumThe breakfast is honestly not worth 18 euros. It's a cold buffet (forget bacon, eggs or pancakes). You get some bread, some cereal, some yoghurt, fruit salad, cheese and cold cuts. That's it, which in itself isn't a lot for such a hotel, and it's not personally what I like to eat in the morning. The staff was also extremely rude here, threatening to throw us out at the exact cutoff time even before we had sat down. There is a kitchenette that you can use freely, just stop by the supermarket on the way there before checking in, save yourself some money and have a feast. The shower was also broken in our room, but that was fine because we showered at the wellness centre.
The location is amazing, if you have a car. There are biking and hiking routes that start from the hotel, which is convenient. The wellness centre is also really good, especially because you can still use it for a few hours after check out, which means you have a two day access to the pool and sauna. The rooms were small but very comfortable, the beds and pillows were high quality. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful.

BelgiumThe buffet dinner was far too expensive if you come with children who will not eat much of the offer, but many restaurants around, but in the evening better to reserve as the fill up in the small villages.. A pity they do not allow people to eat and drink in the beautiful lobby of the garden house, its a waste that most tables are therefore not used. Some game equipment a bit broken.
Beautiful place with great outdoor spa included! Good choice of activities. Nice large rooms. Wonderful bar with normal prices with billiard, fire places etc.

NetherlandsWe had to keep the pool towels for two days otherwise there was an extra charge. No bar or coffee available at the location (except during breakfast) till 16:30! No lunch available. A lady from the staff came twice and complained about our children when they were at the pool. The second time she complained that they were diving (which they weren't - another man was diving) which is not allowed. Not very children friendly place unfortunately. The general concept of the hotel is very nice but perhaps not ideal when it's very cold and rainy. It must be very nice during spring time or autumn. Next to the pool there was a nice warm room where you could sit and warm up, that they call the tea room I think but no tea or other beverages available there either.
The location is very beautiful. The food was fine, not super but good. We had a baby of 2 years old and everything was free of charge for him. Our other children paid half the price for the dinner buffet. Most of the staff was very friendly, the barman, the people at the restaurant who were keeping a table for us because we were a lange group, the cleaners were all very friendly.

BelgiumOur room had a temperature problem. The heating did not work accordingly. The bathroom was not very warm, which made it difficult for the towels to dry properly. We mentioned it at the reception the first day. The very kind lady tried to contact a technician, but unfortunately we did not see any improvement during our stay. Technical problem can happen off course. Service and help were very understanding.
Domain lies on a magnificent location. really enjoyed the scenery. Wellness was great, although at one point (saturday afternoon) very crowdy (but on the contrary Friday afternoon relax). We had a room for 4 adults. Two single beds and one bed-seat, which was less comfortable but overall ok. We stayed at the Maison du Jardinier, which was very cosy and quiet. The surroundings are perfect to go for a run or walk. Breakfast is on minus one but very cosy setting, with a great view. For my opinion enought to choose from (including some local products). Worth the visit.

NetherlandsThe room it self was extremely warm. Hardly no ventilation. Our family room was in the attic and only had a small roof window that could open. We hardly slept, which makes traveling with two children quite unpleasant.
The property and grounds are really worth the visit. It is a stunning place with great facilities; pool, sauna, nice breakfast and diner buffet.

United KingdomThe lack of facilities and level of hospitality. Lack of mini bar and use of the common kitchen, the lack of air conditioning or windows that can open. No room service, no pool bar, almost no food options for lunch, self-cook buffet!!!, lack of maintenance on the kids pool…and most ridiculous: the fact that we had to rent the pool towel and bathrobes!
The grounds we beautiful 🤩 and the accommodation was very clean. Guests were considerate.

United KingdomThere is no lift so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs, which is fine as it was only 1 floor. Luckily it wasn't that hot when we were there as our family room got quite hot and these is no air conditioning and only a tiny flat. There are very few restaurant options in the area. To get to our room there is a long stone path from the car park to the room so it's very hard to roll a suitcase so you have to carry it. The rooms were quite basic with paint knocked off the wall but beds were comfortable.
The views are lovely, and the general surroundings are very peaceful. The swimming pool area is amazing, it has a seperate pool and play area for children and then mini pods for the sauna and a steam room. They have loads of garden games you can borrow and board games. We have 4 children and the space for them to run around, swim and play football and mini golf were great. The family room was great with lots of beds and blacked out windows.

We adored this place: an old castle, wih many side buildings, each of them decorated with a lot of character. Situated in a forest, on top of a hill, great views. There is a nice pool, saunas, hottub. Many activities to do in the neighbourhood, they provide games, there is a nice bar with several cosy rooms, tennis, mini-golf, ...

BelgiumZero facilities/comfort in the common parts. There was not even a cup to have water although a kitchen with microwave was in place. The fridge had attached to it and was closed with a lock?! And in the sitting room full of tables with chairs was clearly written “do not use the tables for eating”. Maybe they were contemporary art :)) totally counter-intuitive, cheap messaging. I was very disappointed by this lack of comfort in common areas. Not recommended for groups as you will be confine to your room if is raining outside, like it happened to us.
The landscape on the property is incredible. The rooms are ok in the House of the gardener. Cleaned with kettle for tea and coffee. Bed was comfortable.

The location, the bedroom, the views to the forest and land... an incredible getaway spot. The bar and resting rooms had the perfect balance between coziness from the old building , and freshness from a tasteful interior design.

I came here for an overnight stay in mid-November. I had stayed here before for a work event but did not have the chance to make the most of the facilities. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. There are a lot of outdoor activities available and you can borrow a lot of equipment. I really enjoyed the Maison du Jardinier. It is a very cosy and a short walk to the Castle, where the meals are served, and the wellness area. The common area, with the fireplace in the evening, is lovely. The dinner was exquisite. There were so many choices and everything was very nicely cooked and using good quality ingredients. The staff were all very helpful and and friendly. It was a perfect relaxing weekend and I'm looking forward to my next visit already.
