How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It is close to the airport which is what we needed. Next time I will try to stay on the apartment located on the ground floor, it is easier to move out.

The building was kind of funky and the neighborhood seems a bit run down. If you're vacationing in Belgium I wouldn't recommend this as your base, but for an overnight, it's just fine.
It was a good price and the host was responsive when we couldn't access the keys right away (we were provided a back-up key). It was clean and had all the modern amenities. Just enough space for a family of four.

The accommodation met our expectations. We needed accommodation near the airport. It was possible to park the vehicle on the road in front of the house. The sofa bed offers enough comfort for two adults to sleep. Communication with the owner at the necessary, sufficient level. Thank you.

The owner was very friendly and helpful with all our questions. Nice play to stay overnight when you have to catch an early flight. Parking in the neighbourhood is free.

It seems that guy cleaning stairs in the building (to second floor) should work better. Although it seems that there were some service or contsruction works in building in past, but intermediate entryway between ground and first floor can be cleaner

The location is great and only 10 mins from the airport but we had great difficulty getting a taxi. All taxi drivers only want to take people to Brussels. At one point we thought we may need to walk from airport to apt. The host helped us get a taxi the next morning so that was good.
Beds were comfortable. Host helped us get taxi to airport the following morning after our nights stay.

No coffee on our first stay and strguggled to sleep on the extendeble sofa, bit dusty. Second stay with the bigger room was amazing.

Apartment could have been a bit more clean.
Location close to Charleroi airport. Cab (taxi) from/to Charleroi airport costed around 25 to 30 Euros for me (for 5 people). Apartment had comfortable beds, all basic amenities and cooking equipment. Perfect 1 night stay near Charleroi airport. There is a supermarket in walking distance (500 meters) where you can buy stuff you want.

They knew we would be bringing four people, and using the sofa bed. However, when we arrived the sofa bed was not set up, nor were there blankets or pillows out for it. We had to search the whole apartment to find anything to put on the sofa bed. It only felt somewhat clean, not very clean. Not sure how much of that is just due to the old nature of the building.

The only issue is the stated 2km distance from the airport - it is almost three times as far to the terminal.
Good clean beds, kitchen, and bathroom.

Near the airport and near to the supermarket. It is the perfect choice for transit, the price is a very good one. The heating was well, it was clean and nice. The owner was very helpful, he tried to call a taxi for us when we didn't have a transport from the airport.

The pillows were not comfortable and some of them smelled weird. Parking problem: there is a single spot in front of the house, probably if the other tenant of the property uses it, then you need to park further or block the nearby garage. Garbage bins are not marked clearly. It was difficult to catch a taxi from the airport at night.
Spacious apartment. Easy access on arrival. There is a dishwasher with tablets.

Three of us arrived late in the evening. Unfortunately, we did not find instructions on where and how to look for bed linen for the second bed. Eventually, I found but experienced some inconvenience.
