Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomCoffee machine in room wasn’t working and wasn’t fixed when reported to reception. Bathroom door in room was damaged and damage around a fixing on the wall. Was charged full cost of room as a reservation fee and then charged again upon leaving the property. Was advised this wasn’t the case and told the first charge but was just an authorisation and if not I was to request a refund- but have been home 2 days and both charges are still showing.
Great location. Hotel building itself was lovely and grand.

United KingdomWhen we arrived I asked to book the restaurant for dinner. I was told that it was fully booked, we asked the restaurant manager and pleaded. Then when we went down for an aperative we asked again and again, finally they said OK. The restaurant had enough spaces for probably approx 100 people. It only had about 10 eating. We requested sea bass, but were told that it was not available. The price of the food and room for the level of service and flexibility of the staff was not ideal.
The hotel room corresponds to the pictures and descriptions online. The room was large, cosy with also a small mini bar... I cannot comment on the Spa, as I forgot that there was a spa and the receptionist did not mention the facilities.

United KingdomCommunication about extra charges. I was not told on arrival that breakfast was an extra 25 euros per person, and was charged at full rate for the children, who ate a slice of toast. In addition, the pool was fully booked for the duration of our stay, and the restaurant was closed. I won’t be staying there again. There are better hotels closer into town. Happy for the manager to refund me in full for the breakfasts.

GermanyLacks in terms of accessibility - there was just one small elevator which did not connect to the floor where our room was located. Had to go to another floor and walk down every time.
Looks very nice from the outside. Nice outdoor garden connected to the restaurant. Spa was nice.

NorwayThe breakfast was 25€ per person per day. We ate at a great local cafe for 10-15€ for 2 people right next door instead. You will be walking alot to get to the city centre. The rooms were made out to be much larger and glamorous then they really were. Not great value for money. Rooms poorly ventilated, really warm and clammy all the time even tho there was A/C.
There was a bathtub.

United Kingdomproblem with bathroom on arrival - couldn’t use it and were told it would take an hour to fix. Not ideal after a long journey but not fault of hotel so fair enough. Toilet was fixed but room was incredibly hot ( up at top of hotel) and air con did not work. Bed was incredibly hard - had to sleep on top of duvet ( at least the room was hot !) Bathroom was bizarrely even hotter. it no obvious source of best as radiator was switched off. Didn’t have breakfast as it was additional cost of 25 euros pp which seemed very expensive. Breakfast / dining area appeared deserted for all 4 days of our stay.

United KingdomSome cramped spaces: the lift is tiny with steep narrow stairs. The room had slanting roof making it much smaller in reality. I booked it for the spa, but was told I to reserve a spot and pay extra. I got one hour, but wanted a lot more. Then in that hour the sauna didn’t work. By the time they fixed it my time was up with no more bookings available. A rip-off for the price.
