Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceThe value for money, 50€ per night was high for a dorm, I think it should be a bit less (it’s not in the city center)
The location was good, 8 minutes walk from the metro station to city center (the staff told me that at night to be aware for pickpockets, but I didn’t encounter any), the room was nice and clean, my roommates did some noise all night but that’s not the property fault.

Everything, from the staff, the cleanliness of the room, comfy bed. I really enjoy my short stay there. The hotel is situated at a location with easy access to transport. I'll definitely coming back.

United StatesThe only dislike was the single bed near the wall in the 3-bed room. That gave me a backache and wasn't comfortable at all. My kids were okay in the other twin beds.
The hotel was amazing in all aspects. Location, facilities, service, staff, everything was top notch. The vibe inside the hotel was good.

FinlandAs the shower and toilet is in the same room as the beds, you are easily woken up when someone uses these. The lockers were quite shallow. Don’t really understand why there are two single beds right next to eachother in the room, some sort of curtain in between would be nice.
Clean and comfortable bed and towels. Good breakfast for 11,9€. Even though there was a large and very loud party going on when I arrived, I heard nothing of it in the room even though the room was on the first floor.

United KingdomIt was reasonably pricey for what was a fairly basic hotel in comfort terms.
Liked the vibe and that it was very clean. The shower was very good. We liked the bar too though there was only one member of staff on duty and he was rushed off his feet.

BrazilCheck in procedures were a bit confused (I arrived a couple hours before but instead of collecting my documents and let me fill all forms to attend faster when needed, the one on frontdesk said no extra procedures were needed). Each room doesn't have its own key to unlock electricity, so if you are in a shared room, someone place its key and needs to leave, everyone who remains inside get heating/cooling and lights off. They should also offer bookings with breakfast included - they're good but not sure if worth the amount claimed.
Hostel with hotel structure, well placed, very clean and organized. A short walk from several transport options, including from/to airport and train stations. My bedroom had its own restroom, which was great. Also had 2-single beds with no bunkbeds over, giving a bit more privacy even in a shared room.

United Arab EmiratesI wish there was a small fridge at least for the private rooms. Upon parking my car the barrier doesn’t go up unless you get out and ask reception which stopped cars behind me from entering. My room was located perfectly at the end of the hall but there are floors and rooms that are shared and could be heard from down the hall quite loudly. The restaurant attached did not have many options available for food, only snacks and slices of pizza.
The location was very good! The private room I had was very comfy with a decent sized bathroom.

Czech Republic1) machine DIY ..Sometimes is Meininger reception pretty full (mostly during check-in group trips) yesterday I was there alone, but maybe try "check in yourself" system, machine is not very complicated and fir advanced travellers should be this procedure safe time. Do it yourself check in machine must be installed in good spot, without windy or rainy attack cause if smbd has in one hand umbrella in other mobile phone, between teeth ID and keyboards of machine pushing by nose...it's not easy and comfy nevertheless in huge rain and strong wind ... 2) beds should have curtain for visual and emotional barrier like in Christopher In, it's good and not very expensive idea, cause watch in the morning 6 sleepy roommates, semi-naked, or sleepy girls should be a bit embarrassed 😳 3) breakfast...eggs during breakfast should be warm whole time, cca 9:35 was cold and in the morning in sleepy mood, nobody has interest looking for machine for it, if there is one. I put eggs on hot warm toast and it helps a little. Hard to say what is wrong, this hostels chain looks really good fir short stay and personal was kind and helpful, maybe served Bavaria beer or more Germans product if chain is from Germany, (smoked sausage, wurst, bread with good homemade butter, vegetable fish soup) many people from Germany were there or Belgique... cause pizza is originally Italian staff ...but was pretty good
Hard to say, because Meininger has probably same or similar quality, relatively high standard. Very good bar or restaurant, I order very late very good pizza and large beer, everything was 10/10 and personal great. Atypically carpets made good corridor design, comfort bathroom in room and relatively comfy room, although was from 80 percent full. This Meininger is a little far from center, used metro station "Lord from Flanders" but short walk around channel was pretty. Looks like hostel is former factory, textile or brewery, hard to say, one floor is for games, was pretty busy there. Breakfast was good for 11.90 euros, chocolate, juice, caffe, yoghurt, toasts, eggs pretty big choice, eggs should be warm for whole breakfast time, about ten, cca 9:35 were eggs pretty cold... very calm, silent part of the town, close the channel and big yard for sitting outside...
