How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Everything was okay :)
My room was nice and clean. Top location, near the cathedral, musea, trainstation and the Cirque Royale. Breakfast was well prepared, vegan products were also available. I had a very pleasant short stay.

Very friendly and generous staff.Even though I arrived a few hours earlier than check in time , they accepted me .I appreciated it so much !Also,I missed check out time by 15 min due to a sleepless night and Ricardo ,the receptionist,allowed me to stay an extra half an hour free of charge.There is luggage room in hotel which allows you to spend more time in the city ,in case you need to leave late evening.In addition to all above,they are very responsive to emails.

No complain and to be repeated for next stay. Only as a suggestion, it would be absolutely perfect if it could had a small fridge in the room.
Very well located, clean and comfortable. Good service and easy check-in and check-out. Not noisy and good bed. Bath in perfect conditions.

Need to put drinking glasses in room.
Nice new renovation. Very clean. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Location was very close to train station and walkable to attractions.

I always enjoy staying in this hotel. Personnel is super friendly, the rooms are small but efficient and clean with a comfortable large bed. The rooms facing the court yard are quiet, I slept well. Breakfast is excellent and the court yard beautiful when the weather is right and one can sit outside. Reasonable prizes. Bath room and shower clean and functional. Wifi works well if not super fast. Location good in walking distance from Brussels Central Station and close to Parc Metro Station.

Rooms are a bit on the small side for two people, but not uncomfortably so.No glasses in room or bathroom was my only complaint.
Very friendly staff, comfy beds, great location. Good hotel bar open late.

Location is just perfect. Staff is very friendly. Room was small size but very clean and cute view. I would have simply add small fridge to the rooms to make it perfect! Interior of the hotel is very modern and nice!

Small room although it was a double room and I’m by myself, it’s alright for one person but definitely not for two, some tea and coffee or at least a kettle in the room would’ve been nice

No kettle in the room.
The room was very confortable and clean. Staff was great, we arrived early but our room was already done so we checked in before noon. The breakfest was great (paid seperatly) with many cheeses, fruits, and pastries options.

Did not like the shower because the glass partition is not wide enough to prevent spraying the floor outside the tub, no matter how careful one is (it seems to me that most European showers are designed very poorly, sorry to say), and did not like the very small closet, it is ok for a couple of days, but no more.
Liked the location, quiet but very central, check in very fast, very pleasant staff, cleanliness, very comfy bed and pillows, breakfast was very good value, good variety of breads, pastries and meats, nice set up for sitting, nice bar, great service.

I did not like the fact that the bathroom smelled quite bad at night (sewer smell) Lack of refrigerator in the room Relatively small room size, but quite acceptable
For me, the quality of the trip is given by the people I meet and the services they provide. In the past I often stayed at expensive hotels where I was completely put off by the impolite and cold manner of the employees, but this was not the case of Motel One. Everyone was very nice here- reception, bar staff. Everything went smooth and irreproachable. Politeness and gallantry NEVER GO OUT OF STYLE, and an institution's value relies on its staff. I never choose the same hotel for my travels, but next time I'm in Brussels I shall book Motel One once more. Other bonuses: great location.

Location a little bit noisy with traffic outside. No tea/coffee making equipment in room. Room a bit on the small side.
Very friendly, helpful and efficient reception staff. Pleasant clean and comfortable room. Good shower and well-equipped bathroom. Good location for walking to tourist areas.
