The room we were give was getting a little tired and getting ready for a refresh. The window frames needed some TLC.

Steven was great on reception and got us checked in early. We had forgotten to take our two pin converter plug with us, so we borrowed on from Steven. The car park is not an easy access for large cars as the ramp down is steep and bends sharply. The rooms were fine for our stay.

The parking is a tad expensive for a night, considering that you cannot take all types of cars in it. The height is very small. Thankfully I did not have an SUV.

As it’s a central you do hear some noise from late night revellers if you have a street facing room.

Wouldn't say didn't like but I found the room was too warm and the thermostat didn't seem to be effective.

Hotel was convenient for me as a solo motorcyclist, had everything I needed and I was allowed to use the carpark facility.

Showering in the small bath was uncomfortable - slippery and cramped. Impossible to avoid touching the plastic curtain while using the shower. The queen bed was outright too hard and therefore uncomfortable. Only one side of the bed had power for a charger. Pity there was only one type coffee capsule of the limited types provided

Reception & staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was nice in general. Curtains were good. Did not use the TV. Coffee machine (Nespresso) worked fine. Thermostat of shower also fine. Definite plusses were the breakfast and particularly the location - nicely close to the City centre.

The wifi was free but doesn't work. It was it a big disappointment.

Room was shabby. Too hot and no instructions as to how to operate air-conditioning. Essentially no spare sockets for charging devices. Found one hidden behind bedside table, in hole in headboard. Shower a mere trickle.

Very clean, no bar but have drinks available. All the staff were lovely and pleasant. I liked the fact that if you didn't want your room cleaning for the day they gave you a drinks token.

The offerings during the breakfast are basic, tho sufficient, and not a reason to pick this hotel. You can rent a bike, but expensive.

The hotel is located at a relative small, quite square, near the city center and 10-15 minutes walk from the main train station. My room was good and gave a nice few on the square. The nearby city center has a rich history and many places to eat and drink.

In 15 minutes walking distance from the railway station. And also close to the main square (Grote Markt). Thanks to air conditioning in the room it was pleasant even on a hot day (ice cream shop just across the street). Big windows out onto the street, but the noise did not bother me. I loved watching people cycling to work while sitting at the breakfast table. And Mechelen is definitely worth another visit!
