How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I liked everything about this property. The only thing is that they don’t offer breakfast; however, there are many great restaurants within 2-5 minutes walk.
Property is located on the very center of Brussels. You can walk everywhere from the hotel, there’s everything you need near by. They gave us the corner bedroom with the view of the city. Amazing room! Very modern and spacious bedroom and big shower. The staff was great and very attentive and helpful. Best experience ever.

We received very warm welcome at the reception. The staff provided us a detailed map and recommendation for visiting and food. The room is large, with a nice city view from the balcony. It also provides sleepers and toothbrushes!

Nothing, like all things about this newly renovated hotel. Is like staying in the whole floor alone and don't see anyone. It may be scary if you are travelling alone.
Actually I don't wish to tell, this hotel is very good (location, clean, quite room) if you come with train (metro, main train station) as I am afraid more people to know and my little secret will be known by all travelers, and worst the price will be much more increase in the future due to good ratings.

The rooms were very large and the staff were beyond helpful. We had two adults and a child, and we had plenty of room. The hotel is in a great location to walk and explore. The other two in our party were in the attic room and it was quite nice.

Almost nothing; like everything ah, maybe if you have to go or come from airport. Brussel nearest airport is quite far away, try taking train (metro, change at the airport line) is the cheapest way to go airport. Alternative take UBER, just don't take taxi (they are not honest, especially not based on meter), take down their taxi number & ask for receipt just in case
Old outside, brand new inside, very clean, very empty hotel like staying alone in the big building. No meal (breakfast), but a lot of eateries just few steps away ; ask for hotel staff and they will let you know their recommendation. BIG supermarket next door Shopping areas Nearby train and metro station

Everything was fine. Just one of the towels had a brown stain on it that I was not sure about the source!
Very friendly receptionists. Very close to all attractions and restaurants . Good value for money. Recommended.

The hotel was very kind to hold our bags because we had to check out before it was time to go to the airport. When we retrieved our bags it would have been nice to be able to use the bathroom, but it sounds like the only bathrooms available are the ones in the rooms, and they were all occupied. This was a minor inconvenience but it caught us off guard.
The location was wonderful, it was a quick walk to nearly everything we wanted to see.

Room felt stuffy and warm despite numerous attempts to turn on the air con. Baby cot is an additional €12 charge per day which is excessive as most hotels offer this for free. Pillows were uncomfortable and of low quality.
Hotel is centrally located with lots of dining options within footsteps of the hotel. There’s a balcony in the room as well allowing fresh air, as this was desperately needed due to the air con not functioning in the room (not sure if it’s due to time of year, as I was there during Easter weekend). Large umbrellas are available for guests to borrow. Bathroom was spacious and well designed.

Shower had a red spot on the ground. Toilet had blue cleaning spots. A lot of noise outside.
