You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very nice hotel, good food, nice and friendly staff. Maybe one recommedation, if you want to sleep with the windows open, my advice to ask for a room at the back as (heavy) traffic already starts at 5PM.

Belgiumnothing so interesting to see in the neighborhood, along a noisy road, if it is hot, you can not open the roof windows due to the noise, inside the insulation is good, the sink in the bathroom was a bit smelly (if not closed), price was more expensive than usually for this level or service

BelgiumThis hotel is a scam, they let you pay for services they don't offer. Online their websites shows on different pages they offer breakfast from 7:00 every day. Also in the PDF with practical information you receive by e-mail on the checkin day, contains the same information. They also got a big banner on their property next to the street which mentions breakfast from 7:00. When we were there for breakfast on 7:00 on Saturday, turns out it only starte at 8:00 during the weekend! We especially booked this hotel because it had breakfast from 7:00, there were other cheaper and more nearby hotels we could have booked which had breakfast at 8:00 too... We asked the person behind the desk to get a refund of €16/person (the price shown on their website) since we had to leave at 7:45 so we couldn't get the breakfast we paid for, but she immediately replied in a very defensive way that it was not possible. After our stay we sent them an e-mail, but they don't even respond. We don't even get an apology! This is a big shame, it' not OK for a hotel to not offer what customers pay for. In the mean time, they didn't even correct the information on their website even tho our stay is already weeks ago. Next to all this, we had a room right under the roof during summer time. There was airconditioning visible, but it must have been turned off or disconnected from the display because we couldn't get it to work in any of our rooms. Opening the windows wasn't an option either, since there was no protection for mosquito's at all. We've been sweating all night long. We will never ever go there again, nor recommend this hotel.

CanadaIf you’re looking for easy access to Ghent, stay somewhere else. The room was okay… few things needing repair, but I’m not too fussy about that sort of thing.
Hotel Otus was easy to access outside of Ghent from a rental car on the major highways. Parking on site made things easy. The hotel was close by to the locations that I wanted to visit, Delirium and Heiling Hart Brewery. That’s why I chose to stay here. The price was also much better than if you stayed closer to the city and breakfast was included.
