Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsNoise from the street is not well filtered out and can get difficult at night to sleep at times. Instant coffee (instead of real coffee) in the room. Wifi in the room on the 6th floor was quite weak (worked perfectly on the ground floor).
Location, close to many nice areas and to the center as well. Comfy and clean room, huge bed (2 meters wide even in the standard plus room!). Overall good facilities, all nicely stylish and modern vibe. I didn't try the good or breakfast but the bar on the ground floor seemed really nice to just sit down for a drink. Water refill downstairs was also a nice touch.

NetherlandsSliding bathroom door with gaps was kind of annoying.
Nice and clean rooms, very comfortable bed. The lounge area and in general the interior of the hotel was amazingly designed. Very good breakfast, nice bar and the usage of pool tables was free for guests which was a nice extra.

Hong KongIt was quite noisy as my window faces towards the road. Can hear the ambulance siren every morning. The neighborhood is not the best. The location is not close to the city center either. You have to take tram+metro to travel to the city center.
The room is super spacious. The shower head is great. The bed is huge. The facility is practical and user-friendly.

United KingdomThe location of the hotel was fantastic. Walking down the street 100m to the Stephanie Tram Stop and it's only around 5 stops directly into the City Centre. The staff were genuinely wonderful. Every staff member I encountered was super helpful and friendly. I had an issue with the AC on my first day and reported this to reception. The AC was fixed within 30 minutes. Great service.

AustriaWe were unsure whether we would be given a double bed or two single beds until check-in. No room cleaning for 3 nights (we did not explicitly request it though). Slight music noise on 1st floor from pub downstairs or nearby.
Very big bed and room. Clean. Very good position for museum area, quite comfortable for airport. Nice ambience. Kind staff. Good value for money.

United KingdomThere was a deposit charged to my card, once for each night. This wasn't informed by Booking.com before I made the booking. The deposit will be returned in a few days hopefully but it would have been nice to know this before reaching the property.

United KingdomThe advertised parking facilities, associated with the hotel. Hotel staff informed us that said parking area was renowned for vandalism, with recent drug issues and the general feeling of the area was somewhat daunting. We ended up finding alternative parking that was more reputable, with regular dog and security patrols. Also, the holding deposit that is collected on check-in. I had to chase down, informing the hotel that the nominated time for reimbursement had lapsed, and if funds were not credited within 48 hours, I would escalate my grievance.
The location was ideal, giving ease of access to the local transport network and only a 20 min walk from the town centre, along with all the major recommended sites and attractions.

LithuaniaIt is really dark in the hotel. I didn't like that the bathroom has a sliding door and you could hear everything if you stay with additional person.
The staff was friendly and the room was spacious enough. They had a good selection of options during breakfast. Also, they have a bar on a ground floor if you are interested.

IrelandI assume in an effort to be eco friendly the common area lighting is very dim. This is fine in the lounges downstairs but in the bedroom corridors, with their grey/brown decor, it all seems a bit dingey. The coffee/tea supplies are a bit random and inconsistent from day to day.
