How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location was excellent, being only 5 minutes walk from Brussels Centrale train station. Need to have the station close by as a lot of day trips. There was a lot of construction around the station making it a bit tricky to navigate. Room was nice and the staff very pleasant

Beautiful decor and very clean hotel with a very friendly staff. The actual pillows were the best and most comfortable I’ve ever experienced. The food at the restaurant and breakfast were also superb.

The lobby is a little bit too small; the space is limited. The staff is a little struggles with the portable modern check-in systems. I had to come down 3 times after checked-in because the staff was confused when validating the room number for us. But the room is big and quiet.
The location is very near the Brussel central station. The breakfast was not included we need to pay extra but the pancake is one of the best compare to many hotels we have experiences in EU. We did not feel miss by not having brunch outside hotel! The area is close to the station but it is situated on the calm and easy to access alley. The amenity is above average compare to others same price hotel. Many hotels in EU do not provide free bottled water anymore since they claim for drinkable tab water, but Pillows city still! We are very happy to choose this hotel! This is our absolutely right decision!

The location was a 3 minute walk from the train station and a 3 minute walk to the center of town. It was perfect. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful selection of pastries, meats, cheeses, eggs and various other choices. To save a few dollars, book breakfast when Pillows sends you an email to pre-register. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Nice clean comfortable room on the 7th floor in the city centre. Hotel was nice and quiet at night and I was able to have a great nights sleep. Breakfast had a great variety and was good quality

Just info/recommendation: There could be more vegan options for breakfast. If you have a big car watch out in the parking garage, it is really tiny and low.
The staff was very friendly and everything was clean. The location is right in the centre. We were very satisfied and would recommend it. Plus: There was oatmilk and soy milk for the breakfast.

Luke warm water to shower in the morning (not sure why).
Great room & extremely comfortable bed. Very central and spotlessly clean. Love the attention to detail and the restaurant food was amazing.

The price of breakfast is a bit high for those who only want to eat some fruit and coffee or the like. That's why I decided not to use the service.
The location is perfect, you are close to all the major attractions and literally a 5-minute walk from "La Grand-Place" and 1 minute from the "St. Michael Cathedral" The staff is very friendly and also helpful in providing various directions about the city. The hotel is clean and the rooms are equipped with all major amenities.

The closet is awkwardly placed right next to the bed. Hard to access it.
Tucked away between busy streets, the hotel reserves a calm presence in the old city of Brussels. The spacious bathroom and clean room makes the stay even more pleasant.

It was very convenient to the train station and perfect for a short stay. Very quiet and great staff! Rooms were wonderful with many extra amenities that made it hard to leave the room to explore the city😊

Nothing, it's a great hotel.
Pillows City Hotel Brussels was a great hotel to see the historic downtown of Brussels. It was about a 15-minute taxi ride from the train station, but then only a 5-10 minute walk to everything you would want to see in the historic area of the city. Great location! Wonderful breakfast every morning, friendly staff, beautiful, modern rooms. Great stay! Would highly recommend for any trip to Brussels.

The rooms are a little dim.
Breakfast was great! The food was fresh and yummy with a great selection of teas. The location is fantastic, short 10 minute walk to old town Brussels and just above the metro exit.
