Half of the rooms seem to face inwards into an open area, meaning that you have no privacy, unless you keep the curtains closed. I checked in on line in advance but the check in still took quite a while when I arrived, so I don't know why they bothered me about on-line.

We got an upgrade, however the room felt a little old (see photos). We would be curious to see what the standard room looks like, we were not impressed by our upgraded room at all. It missed the Sofitel luxury stamp that we are accustomed to. The restaurant (we had a late lunch) was underwhelming, food tasted average. Attention to detail was lacking (for example, no plate provided for the bread), service was slow despite the fact that there was nobody else in the restaurant except one other table. Rooftop bar closes at 22:00 on a Friday night, which seems a little odd, as this would be the exact time when guests would be coming back from dinner and be expecting to have a drink there. No swimming pool. Value to money could be improved.

Reception and door staff were very warm and professional. Efficient check-in and excellent concierge service. Good location, easy to access from train stations. Clean.

It was surprise that this is a Sofitel Hotel, that was not my first time that I choose Sofitel Hotel but In Belgium its was very bad, the bathroom room was not clean when I arrived although I informed them that I will reach Late but When I spoke to reception to do something, the guy said He will change the room but he sent some one to clean the bathroom instead of changing the room, also the cleaner she was very rude she was shouting and talk to meun politely, the towels were to old, the smell was very bad in the room, its to expensive, and the location for any person ho likes coffees and its far from the center 15 minutes by car,

The staff at check were not civil or respectful and were argumentative. Not a good way to begin one's stay The hotel needs to upgrade it's WiFi and USB ports for mobile phone charging in the rooms

Where to begin with this so called "5 star hotel".. -not welcoming staff at reception during check in, rushed, no one explained anything nor fave us information about breakfast hours or Wi-Fi password. - fridge in our room was broken and they couldn't fix it. -they didn't fill up the body wash bottle and during our last night and the morning we ended up washing with shampoo! -they didn't fill the missing toilet paper roll during our 2nd night -on our 3rd morning the breakfast was more on the poor side. They explained to us that since we came earlier that day the breakfast was prepared for a big group who paid less € for breakfast. -to be quite honest the location is not good at all, almost 2.5 km from the center!!!

I like the cozy and warm welcome from the carrier. The hôtel restaurant had amazing DJ and service. The room suit was nice and elegant.

if you are a Dutch speaking customer you are not welcomed. in fact the staff in the restaurant does not speak Dutch. if you switch to English, there English is so poor that you need a translator to explain what you want…a coffee without milk and with a milk alternative. In the room they change your soaps and add towels every day - where is sustainability? and you may get someone from staff entering your room unannounced!

Personnel was not always that professional. Had a late dinner (great club sandwich), where the waiters were making very uneasy noises and expressing their complains about everything (personal life, heavy plates, difficult clients). Hope the restaurant Manager can improve quality of personnel.

Location near Place Jourdan in the heart of European district was excellent. The room was clean and well-designed with a beautiful view of Place Jourdan. Lots of nice bars, restaurants, and parks. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was clean.

I booked a suite and I definitely would not say that this was a 5* hotel suite. It was a pleasant room but nothing more than an ordinary room. Also you would have thought that the suite rooms would be placed higher up as there was a lot of noise from the bars down below as we were only on the second floor. We didn't have a room service menu in our room so we asked for one to be told that we could have the menu read out to us through the phone, our bags weren't taken for us, there were no drinks/snacks in the mini bar, I generally don't feel like the staff went out of their way at all considering the type of room we had booked.

we always stay at this hotel when we travel to Brussels. The rooms a very clean & the staff are lovely. Mr Noor & Simon remembered that we had stayed with them before…that was lovely. overall a great location & great food. I would totally recommend staying here.
