We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This is an exceptional property. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious, beautifully renovated and very comfortable. The grounds are delightful and demand an evening stroll. We had the most delicious breakfast and thanks to Perrine came away with an enjoyable Spotify playlist. We had the perfect stay.

LuxembourgUnfortunately I didn’t have the chance to enjoy the deluxe king size room that I booked here. I was called 2 days before arrival to be informed that there was a double booking on the same room and I must be relocated and there is no option for me. Although few days before that I received a phone call from the hotel to confirm my reservation and to ask if I would like them to book a restaurant for me as they are closed on Monday (which they never did). So eventually I didn’t get what I booked: I got a room in another location, half size, road view, etc. They offered as compensation breakfast. Additionally at the checkout I tried to explain that the room where I stayed has different price and the effective price of that room is the fair price to be payed. So overall not a nice experience due to bad management of reservation on the staff side. Every customer is important and should be treated respectfully. At this level, mistakes like so called double booking should not occur.
