I always prefer to see old, authentic buildings over modern, uniform hotel rooms. This was a beautiful and charming house filled with interesting antiques. The owners are lovely, friendly people and they definitely helped us find the best places in Antwerp to visit during our short stay. We also really enjoyed the elegant breakfast.

Everything was cool! We were a bit alarmed by the glass door with a hole for a knob at first, but it turned out that it was the most “separate” and “safest” bathroom through our whole trip to Belgium 😁 both of us just prefer doing our things in a way that our SO wouldn’t know about that

Oh my god where to start The host is amazing! The house is unique. It has its own style and I’d say, soul. The breakfast is tasty as hell. The location is very convenient, it’s 5 minutes walk from the central station and 1 minute from buses that will take you anywhere

Honestly it was perfect. The stairs up to the room took a bit of getting used to, but once you understood how the hall lights worked, it was fine.

I loved how cute the rooms were. And the person who owned the place was *amazing*. He took me into the study to tell me about Antwerp, and I got a beautiful room which was cozy, comfortable, and very.... well just nice! Breakfast was amazing and I wish I had stayed another day. Definitely a fantastic experience.

The big bed in my El Toro room was made of two beds and mattresses, so I ended up in the middle of the bed falling in between beds. My partner had to pull me closer to him so I could sleep on a flat surface. The check out is at 12:00 which is great. During breakfast (it was between 10 and 11am) we double-checked the checkout time and the owner seemed a bit annoyed when replying "Yes, at 12" as if we were asking for a free prolongation. Also, when at 11:50 we made coffee to drink quickly and leave, the owner said "Please make sure to leave on time" as if we were kids that already running late. We left at 11:55 with a sense that the welcoming is over and people were acting, and not really welcoming. Therefore, I wouldn't come back, although the location and the house are amazing.

Location, decoration, antique furniture. You feel like a baron there truly :) Good breakfast. You get a map from the owner with recommendations of where to go and what to discover. The room was great!

We liked everything

We loved everything. The host was very nice and so friendly and gave us lots of information. The breakfast was beautifully prepared and presented in an informal atmosphere. Fresh Croissants and Bread, freshly squeezed orange juice and meats, cheese and Eggs. Fresh Coffee too was fabulous. Our room was very spacious and so comfortable.

Nothing to add here, the overall stay and the hosts’ welcoming and warm attitude was great.

The B&B is centrally located, easy to find and in an area that’s very easily accessible by foot both from the old town and from the central station. The rooms are very spatious and tastefully decorated, bright and extremely clean and the hosts’ eye for detail and good taste is undeniable. The entire house has a lot of character and just walking through the common areas and noticing the details is an experience in itself. The breakfast was very tasty, filling and diverse, served in the most beautiful dining room. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again when I return to Antwerp.
