Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. HungaryThe wifi is working but very weak, the apartment was very cold when we arrived it took 2 hours to heat on at least 20 degrees.
The location is very great, close to the center but quiet neighborhood, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is spacious and nice the kitchen well equipped

SpainFirst of all - the stairs are extremely sharp and narrow and the announcement does not say how sharp they are - obviously someone with walking dissabilities cannot stay there, but also older people may have trouble, it is also extremely inconvenient to take the suitcase with you. Only for that they deserve a zero or 1, and Booking.com should pay more attention to this - it is a matter of equal access! The code system is extremely complicated - I had to call the contact person 3 times during a 3 days stay because they were changing the codes!! I do not know how many codes I was given in three days !! It is extremely inconvenient, I saw posts from other guests about this and they do not seem to care. They assume you have to carry your phone with you, what if I didnt and I had to enter into the flat? very very inconvenient and bad service. They do not have anywhere to leave the suitcases if you fly / take a train / bus later. Also inconvenient. The place is in my perception much smaller than the sqm they say. They do not have a place to hang the tower. I also felt quite warm there - there is a fan, but that is not the best solution. It is quite pricey for what it is - low value for money. I think these touristic apartments really need to work harder in what they offer

Netherlandswould be nice to have more towel hooks in the bathroom. There was no place to hang a hand towel around the sink. Sound insulation is poor. We could hear the neighbours walking in the corridor and in the apartment above NOT RECOMMENDED for a business trip. The owner company doesn't provide invoices. Still waiting for my invoice weeks after and they keep promise sending it.
Very cozy studio. Has everything one might need for a short or longer stay. The location is great! quiet street. In 15 min walking distance, you have pretty much everything: shopping, restaurants, supermarkets, metro, trams and the old city centre.
