How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The staff is not friendly and they are slow! I checked out in the morning and in the afternoon upon leaving for the airport I went to the hotel to ask if they found a notebook I left in the room! Although I told them a taxi was waiting for me, it took them about 15 to 20 minutes just to phone the head of the cleaning staff to ask about the notebook! At the end I was just told “there is nothing we can do, there is another guest in your room!” The gentleman dealing with me took calls from guests and book in other guests , while a colleague of his was just doing nothing! Don’t ask me about the taxi bill! 🤯 Plus they have very slow accounting! From this a previous stay I can tell that it will take months before you actually see the room fee taken off you account, and they do not automatically release the funds they have reserved when booking!

Would prefer to be a little bit more soundproof.
Very good location to the centre of Brussels, extremely clean, with a very comfortable bed. The staff were friendly too.

Couldn’t turn on the heat, would of been nice to be able to warm up after walking in wind + rain. Mini fridge started flickering and stopped cooling 2nd day. We reported the issue, they said they will send someone to fix it. When we were back, it stopped flickering, but still not cooling. And flickering was back during the night so it was like flashes thrown in your face while sleeping. Some of the bathroom fixtures / sealing could use a bit of updating.
Location, accessible 24/7, could rent umbrella from the lobby, available extra facilities for leisure & entertainment (didn’t have time to try them out, but it was nice they had them). Comfortable bed.

Woken up early due to construction work outside. Windows allow alot of sound.
Hotel was in a good location, room and bathroom were to a good standard.

Waiting more than 10 minutes at the elevator, whether going up or down. I did not manage to connect to the free wifi, the signal was weak, so I was using my own data. The towels were changed, although I had not left them on the ground, because I intended to reuse them.
The room was nice and spacious, with a coffee machine and a small fridge. I went twice to the fitness room, open until 23:00, I appreciated the offer.

Paperwork with invoicing wasn’t really seamless, but nothing dramatic. Little flexibility with check-out and breakfast schedules.
Nice rooms, good facilities, very good sauna and fitness area. It’s a big hotel, that still has some soul, unlike big hotels tend to. Location was also perfect to our needs.

The receptionist looked at me all the time, like I will leave the hotel without paying my booking. They felt afraid and insecure all the time that made my stay uncomfortable. They commented my credit card expiration date, despite of asking them to pay cash in advance. I don't know about their bad experiences with clients, but for me that was not hospitality.

There were a lot of homeless people near the hotel who were spitting and peeing near the hotel. Just stay clear off them when you leave the hotel.
Excelent Location and the Hotel was fully equipped with all facilities that is expected. Additionally it is right near to the metro station.

There was a lot of noise: outside and chairs scraping the floors in the floors above. I could also hear the neighbours TV and noise in the hallway.
They offered to check me in early (10am) and the room was very clean and comfortable. The fitness room is good for short workouts in the morning.
