Location, location, location! Short walk into Ypres, beautiful and peaceful location. Just wonderful.

The property was was perfect with the shared kitchen space being a great touch, meaning there was space for our group to sit around a table and play a game.

Stayed here for 1 night on way to Ghent, little balcony overlooking lake, short walk into Ypres, nice breakfast and a pleasant short walk around lake. Good location for some WW1 sites.

Would have been nice to have had coffee facilities in the room and the beams in our “loft room” were a bit precarious - that makes it would odd inside and is was not. It was just if you hit your head it would hurt !!

Lovely host, gorgeous room, perfect location to get into Ieper and explore the local area and attractions. Room was beautiful, only minor fault would be no tea/coffee facilities in the room, this was downstairs and you were able to make but i like to have a coffee in bed first thing! Well stocked mini bar in room which is good. Good kitchen area if you wanted to cook yourself. Breakfast was the best we have had, lots of selection. Great value for money and would highly recommend 👌

The only downside was the heat. We could have used more air circulation in our room, more fans or something. Not the venues fault, as it was unseasonable warm. But the room did not have enough cooling for our sleep.

It was a lovely spot with a lovely deck and the owner is delightful. The breakfast is over the top good.

Beautiful private suite overlooking the tranquil lake which immediately put us at ease. A relaxing place from a long journey, a home away from home. Just what we needed. Margalie was a wonderful host, so helpful and friendly thank you for a lovely stay.

My wife’s mobility is very limited and unfortunately we did not appreciate that there were so many stairs both to our room and within the room. The toilet downstairs did not have a wash basin so we had to climb stairs to wash hands. Our room was therefore not suitable for someone with limited mobility. We shall remember to ask the appropriate questions when booking in future.

All was exceptional!

My husband and I couldn't fault anything for our two night stay in room "Romantische Kamer". The breakfast was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The location to the centre of Ypres was A1 for the Menin Gate. Magalie and Carl were exceptional hosts and owners. The bed was SO comfortable we wanted to take it back to the UK with us. Thank you Magalie and Carl - you have a wonderful home and in such a lovely location by the lake :)
