Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SpainIntense and no stop DRAIN noise in the wall behind from 9am sharp, and not a single or fake word of apology when i had to check out in rush. Why not to advice reparations are ongoing? Why they sell rooms at 5rd floor? Benefits beyond customer wellbeing. If i were not already awake from 5am due to lag, in order to have bags meridianely packed, they would had damage ears. Do not carry ceramics either. Unfortunately to add photos will not provide the noise recording level. Maybe booking.com may add this feature in the future. Morning receptionist did not sign or stamp the invoice, either may that be too much work to do ...

GermanyThe rooms were dusty when we arrived and there was trash besides the bed. We arrived on a Sunday and the rooms weren't cleaned until Wednesday and only because I complained at reception. If not they probably wouldn't have cleaned the rooms!! There was no soap in the container at the hand wash basin was empty. The invoice I was given at the end was in Dutch and stated that I paid too much. When I asked what the Dutch sentences meant, I was not given an explanation in English but they printed new different invoices that did not have the extra amount on it. I feel cheated and if this was revenge for complaining about the dirty rooms and lack of cleaning. We stayed 5 nights and they only cleaned ONCE and only because I told them to!

AustriaThe hotel WiFi did not make it to my room, perhaps due to its location at the end of the corridor. But that was not the only problem. The soap dispenser at the sink was empty. When I tried to use the soap from the shower, I found that there were 2 bottles of shampoo and one bottle of conditioner affixed to the shower cabin. The shower itself offered a range of water temperature from scalding hot to hot. Not that I intended to take a cold shower. The glass panes forming the entrance to the shower did not close. So I was afraid of causing flooding when using the rain shower.

GermanyThe rooms are called "cabins" for a reason. Beyond the bed-cave, there's no "room" to speak of. It's all super tight and super dark. Also quite old and in need of repairs.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyable breakfast, better than expected. You get a cozy bed-cave to cuddle up in your PJs all day, with power outlets and plenty of space for phones, books, snacks and the like within arms reach.

The staff were very helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was great. Thank you to the staff for helping me to fill my flask each morning. The black on the outside helped me to find the hotel in an unfamiliar city. Hasselt is a very nice city.
