Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe beaches surrounding the hotel were stunning with crystal clear waters but unfortunately I picked up so many pieces of glass that I could have filled a bin. We were so lucky that we did not step on any and hurt ourselves. Told the reception staff but they were not surprised. That was disappointing
Room was very comfortable. Light bulb missing from lamp and bathroom window needed a clean but otherwise very luxurious. Breakfast was delicious and great variety on offer.

United StatesParadise is expensive! But that means good roads, drinkable tap water, and safe and delicious food.
We loved everything about Cambridge Beaches--there are multiple beautiful pink sand beaches, staff are friendly and helpful, food was delicious. We did a couple's trip but I want to bring my kids when they're older. Such a beautiful place!

United Kingdomoutdoor pool was too cold when we went at Easter and kids can only use indoor pool after 6pm which was their dinner/bedtime. which meant on Rainy day’s not much for the kids to do - especially when no one was in the pool.

United KingdomNo management was evident to us at any time during our stay. It might have been nice to have addressed some of the following points personally! We felt that the hotel has poor communications. We were handed a newsletter on arrival. However, during our stay, a new restaurant (Shutters) was opened, there was a Mother’s Day brunch and a 5 course candlelit supper, none of which we were advised of or appeared in the newsletter - which we found strange. On our final bill, charges included dinner drinks at Sunken Harbor and breakfast at Shoreline and also lunch at Pastel - but since none of these places existed during our stay, this was rather confusing. The breakfast waiting staff did not seem to understand the concept of poached eggs and toast being served at the same time and toast often came 10 minutes after the eggs! There were different staff on the hotel reception desk but two in particular, we found repeatedly were fairly miserable and somewhat laid back. This was in contrast to most of the serving staff who were friendly, energetic and attentive. Reception is an important area and this does not give a good impression. Our room was clean and comfortable but across several days, we returned after a day out to find a mixture of shampoo, hand towels and face flannels missing and then had to wait some time for these to arrive when requested. Surely a check list would address this. While the restaurant menus had a reasonable number of options, the choice was very heavily weighted towards seafood which my wife and I don’t eat. We would have appreciated a few more non seafood options. Berries were unavailable four breakfasts in a row and any pizza and Caesar Salad was unavailable at Shutters the lunch time we ate there which we found disappointing. This is a beautiful hotel charging premium prices and one expects management to be on top of all these relatively minor points.
Fabulous eight night stay at the beginning of the season. Beautiful resort, all but surrounded by water, and boasting two which became three lovely restaurants, an outdoor and indoor pool and a spa. All the food we ate was well prepared and beautifully presented and the fine dining Tamarisk restaurant (which may now be called something else) was absolutely excellent. The staff are friendly and professional. A very relaxing place to stay, comfortable and with almost every facility one could want. The hotel’s USP is its’ beautiful location but this is also a major disadvantage depending on what you want as the location is relatively remote. We found difficulty one evening getting a taxi back from the Dockyard area when no cruise ship was in.

United StatesWe needed dishes at the cottage. Lots of Man o War and glass on ocean side beach. Would have loved a hot tub at the infinity pool.
We loved Pegem Cottage. The room service dining food and staff was exceptional and we enjoyed eating in the dining room. The staff in the golf carts were very accommodating. The kitchen was wonderful. All of our requests were addressed immediately. We also loved the turtle pond.
