Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I can only be positive about our stay. We came from a 3-day Uyuni salt flats tour and we ended up with a severe food poisening. The lady at the reception (maybe she was more than that) was the kindest and most generous person. She provided us with anything we needed and even gave us mate and other tips to settle our stomach. She really cared for us. Thank you! Also the appartment itself was good. Kitchen and living area are small, but if you want bigger you have to choose one of the other appartments here. Kitchen has all the basics you need. There is also a good working heater that we appreciated a lot since it can become a bit cold. And good breakfast served at the door! Very good value for money.

United KingdomThe staff were very helpful and supportive in helping me to find an item that I had left in a taxi, as well as ensuring that we were comfortable in our accommodation. The beds were comfy, and the apartment was small, cosy, and warm. Breakfast was prepared well and brought to the apartment at the exact agreed time. The apartment was good value for money and a welcome change from staying in hotel and hostal rooms.

New ZealandMaria, the lady at the reception is very helpful. As a non spanish speaking couple, we were given every information required with the help of a translation app. As we were leaving early to the airport she offered to serve breakfast by 6.30 AM and arranged the airport taxi. The room had full facilities and loved the earthenwares in the kitchen

A hidden gem in the heart of the desert! The lady owner makes this place a true home. She really takes care of the building very well. The apartment is bigger than the pictures suggest. Three bedrooms & lots of space. The heating works well & shower is strong. Beds are very cozy & comfortable. Lovely kitchen to cook & prepare meals. Cleanest place we stayed at in Bolívia. It’s hard to get up in the mornings with the freezing cold outside. The kind owner even prepares you a small breakfast in the mornings. She goes out of her way to help.

United StatesTwo small points: We were able to connect to wifi on our phones, but we could never get it to work on our laptops. The breakfast was attractive, but there wasn't quite enough of it--we ended up having to supplement. The bigger surprise: the heat. The description when I booked said the apartment was heated, and this is not a lie--there were heaters in the living room and 2 of the bedrooms, and they did in fact turn on. However, the heaters just weren't a match for the cold. It was freezing outside the night we arrived, and the heat had not been on in the apartment so it was very cold. We turned on the heaters immediately and had them running for two hours that night, but it felt like the temperature in the apartment never budged. We were told we needed to turn the heaters off during the night and when we were gone, so it was also frigid cold during the night and when we got up the next morning as well. (Fortunately, all the beds had several thick blankets, so at least we were able to stay warm to sleep.) I think this would be a great place to stay in the spring, summer, and fall when the temps aren't so low. But in the winter months, just know that it's going to be very cold in spite of the heaters.
Spacious and clean apartment for a good price. Loved the fact that breakfast was included. We are vegetarians, and there was a nice mix of options for us: cereal, yogurt, bread, scrambled eggs, fruit salad, tea. They brought breakfast right up to our rooms. The woman at the front desk was super nice and attentive. Really liked her!

United StatesGuys, we really wanted to leave this hotel a great review since they were SO nice, but we're here to be honest, and if I'd known before booking what I know now, I probably would have booked elsewhere. So let's get into it. There is no heating in the unit whatsoever. It got very chilly (we were there in April) and we were told to use the stovetop and oven for warmth. This kind of works, but then the place started to smell like gas and gave us headaches. So it was either be freezing cold or inhale fumes all day... And even though we were told to use the stove for heat, the staff would knock on our door several times a day to check if we were using the stove... So we were told to turn it off multiple times. It was just a frustrating situation. Along with that, the hot water for the shower didn't work either, so we had to heat up a kettle full of water on the stovetop and use that to shower with, kind of like we were camping, which wasn't ideal. The last thing I'll mention was that we were put in the ground-floor apartment (though now that I think of it, this may be the same for all units, we never went upstairs...) and there were semi-fogged windows everywhere. And I mean everywhere... The bathroom had two windows that faced into the main lobby, including in the shower. The front door had one facing into the lobby and one of the walls had a window facing into the staff quarters. We booked an apartment with two bedrooms, and even the bedrooms have windows to the main areas of the apartment, so if you're staying with family or friends, just know the rooms aren't super private from the rest of the apartment. And yes, the building was secure, but it was frustrating having to ring the bell every time you want to enter the building, sometimes you end up standing there and waiting for several minutes to be let in. This could all be solved by just giving you a key to the front door with your room key.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating, they were the best part about staying here! They let us stay past our check-out time for an extra $15 since our bus leaving Uyuni wasn't until like 7pm. The place was secure since you have to ring the bell at the front door to be let into the building at any time of day, so we felt pretty safe.
