Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe had the most wonderful stay at Hotel Cesare. Cesar is the kindest and most accommodating host I have met during my travels so far. Everything was clean, the beds and duvets were extremely comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. It was quiet and peaceful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

United StatesThe hotel is a bit of a walk to the main restaurant / city center area but it wasn't an issue at all.
This hotel was absolutely amazing - everything about it. I will tell everyone I meet going to Uyuni to stay here. The owner and his family run the hotel and are incredibly nice and kind. We got in late and they ordered pizzas for delivery for us since most restaurants were close to closing. The breakfast is great and you can order eggs to your liking, along with an assortment of other offerings. The hotel is absolutely fantastic - one of the nicest that we've stayed in in South America (hot water & great water pressure). They could really charge more than they do and it'd still be 100% worth it. We had early morning and late night tours and they gave us a key to the main hotel door so we would have to wake them coming in and out.

IrelandBedrooms were comfortable, spacious and everything was like brand new. The whole place was spotlessly clean. A convenient location for walking to the bus station, restaurants and shops. Breakfast was included and was really nice - table service of fruit, yoghurt, toast, eggs and tea & coffee. The staff were all really friendly, especially our host Cesare who was exceptional and couldn’t do enough for us. He gave us recommendations for food and even a lift into the town with him. We also were able to leave our luggage here free of charge while we went on a 3 day tour of the salt flats, which was so convenient. On return from the tour, Cesare even allowed us to access a room for a small fee, to shower etc before we took a night bus later on that night. Excellent hotel, I couldn’t recommend more highly 😊

New ZealandThe location is slightly further away from the main part of town but the couple of extra minutes of walking is worth it.

ColombiaAbout a ten minute walk from the city center. During the day this is not much of an issue, but at night it can be inconvenient as streets are dusty and dimly lit.
Simple, but clean and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good price.

South KoreaHotel is a little bit far away from the center like 10mins walk. But it was okay as travellers. There are so many good things to cover the 10mins walk.
The room and lobby is large enough and always clean. The room has a small kitchen including refridge, microwave and sink. Hot water is coming out right away. The breakfast was delicious! Most of all, the staff Jose, was really kind. He was working alone while we were staying. He did everything including reception, housekeeping and breakfast. Even though he was hard working, he was always smiling and well organized. One day we were back to hotel from the tour at night, he helped us to ask for pick up next early morning, and brought us hot milk before we slept. Plus, when we had to check out early in the morning, he prepared breakfast early for us.

United KingdomThis is by far the best hotel we’ve stayed at during our 4 month trip round South America. Not only were the rooms immaculate and the breakfast delicious, but the staff were honestly the kindest, most helpful people we’ve encountered. They helped us with a late checkout and also dropped us off at the bus station so we could move on to Sucre. 10/10 recommend for any travellers that especially need a peaceful stay after a three / four day tour (especially a couple like us!).

BelgiumWe loved it!
We really enjoyed our stay!! It is a very personal hotel, Cesare does literally everything to make you feel at home. He is one of the most generous and sympathetic people we have met. The rooms are super clean, the beds are really comfortable, the shower has hot water and is not electrical (which is an exception in Uyuni) and the breakfast is really good. Without a doubt we would book here again if we are in Uyuni!

AustraliaNot really a negative, but location was about a 10 min walk from town restaurants, but that said, I enjoyed the walk after eating, and as a solo traveller, i felt quite safe walking at night bavk to the hotel.
Rooms were very comfortable, modern, super clean and good size. Mr Cesare was incredibly helpful when I discovered my phone was not working and helped me to find a place to get it fixed. His kindness was above and beyond! The breakfast was lovely and the staff were really eager to please. I enjoyed my stay there, and would stay again..

United StatesI would give a BIG 10 if it is closer to the center but it is ok. It has good value and definitely worth to stay here. Even though there are no restaurants within 5 minutes walk, but food delivery is available and the staff will help you do that.
Jose ( I think that is his name ) is wonderful. He ordered me a taxi to the new bus station for 5 Bs. Breakfast usually starts at I forgot 8:00 am but I have to eat at 7:00 am and Jose made breakfast for me. Room : Clean, large , with a desk and fast WiFi and even a heater. Breakfast : great. Facility : I didn’t use the seating area but it looks appealing.

Hong KongThe lighting can be brighter. Location is a bit far from the center, but I knew it before booking. Wifi can be more stable and faster. I need to update the Youtube App on TV by myself.
External heater. Superb services from the owner and staff. Constant hot tap/shower. Customizable breakfast time. Wonderful pick up and check out procedure. Hot water/drink can be provided upon requested, which is useful in cold night at Uyuni. I would rate a 12 out of 10 if possible.

JapanThis question!! Haha
First of all, the price was pretty cheap for the nice and clean room I stayed. Secondly, the stuff here were so nice that they let me stay at lobby room till the time of my bus to La Paz at 10:30pm. Last but not least, this hotel has rooms with high-speed of wifi, hot shower, good views from a window, and a heater. Big thank you again to the owner of this hotel, Cesare!!
