The location is in the center, 5 minutes from the bus terminal. The staff was nice enough to keep our luggage free of charge for 3 days while we were visiting the salt flats.

No running water in the bathroom, had to ask the host to turn the water on. No personal bedside light, main light broken. Door locked so couldn’t get out in the early morning when I needed to, no one at reception. Rang the number and eventually got out!

indifferent, even mean staff. we went out one night to have dinner after a tour and told them we would be back at 11. upon getting back at 11, the door was locked completely and we had to wait in the cold for nearly 10 minutes. then i found out that they cut the water off after a certain time. ok, fine, but they didn’t tell us that they would - no signs, no advanced warning whatsoever. how were we supposed to brush our teeth or wash our hands. I’ve traveled quite a lot through South America, and this is no doubt one of the worst places I’ve stayed. I can deal with dirty floors and insufficient blankets (no heaters at all), even turning water off overnight to concern energy — what for me is a lot harder to deal with is unfriendly, unhelpful, and mean staff. do yourself a favor and don’t stay here.

99% of the time there is nobody, the hostel is probably not a priority for the owner. If you need something there is either a lady from artesanal shop who isn’t helpful at all or little kids who have no clue how to help. The building is extremely cold, there is a heater in each room but for my second night the lady told me that I can’t use it for no reason. If you can use it you’re allowed for only 1 hour. The blankets are not good enough to make you warm when it’s -10C outside.

The location of the hostel is great. The building is beautiful. Breakfast ok. Shower is hot ( if there is water).

Unfortunately it was very cold in the whole hostel. We asked for an electric heater in our room but they did not want to provide even though we saw them in other rooms … due to this it was very uncomfortable for us

the staff. on the second night they took our heater from the room. they told us it was “too expensive” for them. As you know, Uyuni is we’re cold. Only after we talked with them and explained them it’s freezing in the room, they got us more blankets. In the morning everything was fine, but the experience was frustrating.

Floors are quite creaky and this might disturb some lighter sleepers.

The value of this hostel is amazing. One of the most comfortable beds I've slept in so far, very kind owners who let us in at 11pm when our bus was late, and the breakfast of a basket of bread with delicious marmelade and fried eggs was top notch.

Location, breakfast, service... It's a nice old building hidden in the inner patio - you've to go though a shop to get into the piso and there enter the building.

No sheets on the bed, bathroom was not clean, no access to make a cup of tea outside of one hour for breakfast. Breakfast was just bread and jam so for the cost I would of expected fruit too.
