How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Communal, unisex showers didn't appear to lock which seems unsafe and our room had a connecting door to the adjacent room which was unlocked when we arrived.
Location was excellent for a short stayeither side of a salt flats tour. Breakfast was good.

The only real issue I had was that the WiFi was not always working, be that from my room or from the common area. The WiFi worked about 70% of the time and while it was a bit slow I would imagine that this is one of the best WiFi connections available in the town of Uyuni (a place where I could not once access my mobile data using my eSIM from Airalo, despite me having a full data allowance).
My single room had essentially a double bed which was very comfortable and my room was nice and spacious. The breakfast was definitely one of the best that I’ve had from a hostel. They have an excellent selection available with things like porridge (with hot milk), yoghurt, bananas, watermelon, nice bread that you can toast, crackers, alfojores (biscuits) and a selection of teas available. They sell large bottles of water at the hostel which is reasonably priced.

My room seemed to be connected to another person's room and the hole was covered by a cupboard so could hear very clearly the other room.
Just needed a room for the night and it got the job done. Nothing bad, nothing special.

The location of the parking was not at the property and it was far away. Also we had to wait for others vehicles to get out so we could take our bikes from their garage.
The location was great. In the near of most restaurants, and tour agencies, I think that location is definitely the strongest point. And the staff was nice too.

Breakfast was just OK.
Location was good and the room was comfortable. They provided lots of blankets which was appreciated, as it can get cold in the evening. Showers were clean, and although it took a bit of tinkering, the water was eventually hot.

Breakfast was included, room was spacious and common areas had some cute couches with a cozy private corner. Showers were warm with good pressure, I had a shared shower down the hall with a private dressing area.

The room were up a set of stairs on the second floor. Stairs were not too comfortable to climb access to the main office also tricky.

Wifi worked but was a bit inconsistent.
Convenient and affordable place to stay in Uyuni before or after a visit to the flats! Hot showers and close to everything in town. We had a clean, spacious room.

Minor nitpick: if you come on a holiday, be prepared for a long, sleepless night. Since the hostel is located near the main square and market, it gets a little rowdy. We were there on New Year’s Eve and the bands didn’t stop playing till 4 AM. Of course this is not the property’s fault, just a heads up!
Decent location near the plaza, comfy beds, hot showers, free breakfast. Nothing to complain about!

Wi-Fi a bit patchy. Curtains were poor quality so the sunlight woke us up at 6am.
Comfortable rooms and right in the centre of town with a supermarket next door. Nice communal sofa areas to relax in/store luggage if you have a late bus.

The shower was not the best, but for the price it was fine.
The room was good, big and clean. The breakfast was quite good, but instead of taking it yourself, one stuff put it on plates (more complicated than necessary).

The only downside for me was that there was no kitchen and no fridge.
The hostel was super nice, staff was very friendly and helpful, the private 1 person room was very nice, spacious, and clean. Location is great too!

My only gripe is that there were no showers on my floor and I was not informed about that. I had to take two flights of stairs every time I need to go to the showers.
Good place with good facilities. The staff is awesome.
