When we entered the room, a very strong smell was in the room like mosquitos/insects spray but when we asked about it they said the smell comes from a product for the wood floor, but we couldnt sleep all night from this strong smell. Inacceptable. The room was noisy, and from 6 to 8 pm there was strong noises of renovation undergoing and we complained about that

It is a bit dated in the rooms so if you are looking for a new hotel this is not for you. But i love character so was great for me.

If you like character hotels this one has it a lot which I love. Including an amazing bar on the room with views of the old colonial architecture, and underground wine rooms. Very central as well.

The owner is very kind, he is there all the time making sure that his guests have a good experience. As a result, the quality of the service is very high. Also the building is beautiful with an amazing roof top and view.

The location felt safe and very convenient. The hotel is in a beautiful area. All staff were welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful - reception, breakfast servers, owner and rooftop staff. The building itself, and curation, is amazing. The museum downstairs is a great extra. Rooftop bar was another great addition!

It took a bit of time to get hot water at the shower. Towels looked a bit old but they were very clean. No decaf coffee at breakfast buffet.

The location is ideal. The building is beautiful and breakfast very good. The view from the terrace restaurant is wonderful. The staff is very friendly. The owner/manager is on top of things making sure guests are happy.

While the building is beautiful there are definitely some details missing. We stayed in the junior suite and there was no water, robes or information in the room. There was a light hanging out of the ceiling and the room smelled overwhelmingly of floor polish. There is a gym and some jacuzzis but both were closed and there was no information on when we could use them. Bathroom is very basic and the breakfast wasn’t great. Just not what you would expect from a 5 star.

The room was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. We spent sunset on the lovely roof terrace that serves delicious food and cocktails with an amazing view of the city. The staff were very helpful and the location is great.

the Spa was run down, and the room had a weird smell. it’s not really a 5* hotel anymore and the du count reflects that.
