The owners Chris and Sussy were so kind and welcoming. The bed was so comfortable, especially after a 3 day, 2 night salt flat tour. The breakfast was phenomenal. And I loved the pizza restaurant at dinner onsite. Excellent stay and excellent hospitality. I’m so glad I decided to stay in Uyuni one more night to rest after the tour. Highly recommend this hotel!

The room was very comfortable. the breakfast was probably the best eve had in South America. The pizza was awesome. Chris the owner and chef, despite doing a million things at once, still finds time to get to know you, find out where you’re from and where you’re going. We stayed here before and after our Sale Flats tour and can’t recommend it highly enough.

We LOVE this little oasis in Uyuni, it felt like home. Susie and Chris are really awesome people, they are helpful in all different ways. Also, we LOVE Chris’ pizzas, top top. breakfast is great too !

Very comfortable, this hotel has the most welcoming & helpful staff I have ever known, it really feels like a home from home, with a superb pizzeria inside the hotel that sells great food & drinks at very reasonable prices, this place is an absolute gem.

We had a lovely one night stay in Hotel Tonito. Chris and the staff made us feel right at home - they couldn't have done enough for us. Their pizza restaurant was just what we need after a long day at Solar de Uyuni. If you are staying in Uyuni, we highly recommend! :)

It was perfect.

This hotel is worth staying at for the food alone. But it's also a lovely place, very clean, comfy beds, hot, spacious showers with decent pressure. And the hospitality is as good as it gets. Chris and Susie are the nicest most accommodating hosts. They let us hang around the common areas for an entire day after we checked out and waited for our night bus, AND fed us complimentary lunch. The breakfast is amazing, everything is home made from the bread to the granola. The pizza is SO good, and they have tap beer. We normally like to try new places for dinner, but we ate here 3 nights in a row because it was so good. Chris refused to take our tip because it was too much. We loved it at this hotel so much that we extended our stay.

The only minor thing was that our room at the bottom floor had a window into a driveway between two houses that had a roof, so there was not so much fresh air coming in when opening the window.

The rooms were clean, the location was good - quiet but not far from the main street and the bus station, and the staff and the owners were friendly and helpful. But what was really outstanding was the food! Breakfast was amazing (really the best we had in a very long time!) and they also have a restaurant for guests. We ate there twice and it was delicious both times (Pizza, Pasta & Salad). Moreover it was no problem at all to store our luggage during the day and spend some time in the common area before our night bus left on the day of departure.

Uyuni is a dusty town, in a high desert rural area - but the Salt Flats are amazing - well worth the visit.

The linens and towels were superb for a smaller hotel in a modest size city. The managers and staff are proficient and very friendly. Chris is a restauranteur originally from Boston but has lived in Uyuni for decades. He runs a great small restaurant in the hotel, with fresh baked goods, pizzas, other hot dishes for dinner. There is a wonderful breakfast spread, included with the room, with fruit & yogurt, tropical fruits, muesli & other cereals, eggs, fresh juices and more. Would gladly stay again!

If anything my room could use a little “sprucing up” maybe a new coat of paint but I didn’t care because everything else was so magnificent!

The breakfast was incredible. What a wonderful selection and everything home made, even the bread. I have never seen such a variety, every day there was a different “special” the last day chef Christopher made ham, cheese and mushrooms Stromboli. I am a big foodie and was impressed by the inventiveness. I am not much of a pizza person but everyone was raving about the pizza so of course I had to try it. What a selection, llama meat with sun dried tomatoes (dried themselves) (the one I chose) marguerita pizza, pesto with spinach and onions. I could go on and on- incredible. I saw people walking up to C and telling him (sometimes with tears in their eyes) that it was THE best pizza they had ever eaten, I totally agreed! Susie, the wife of C was so warm and welcoming made me feel like her sister. It was carnival week so they were a little short staffed but managed to pull everything off flawlessly. I helped in the kitchen on the last day, what fun, C even showed me how to portion the pizza dough and was very patient with me - I got a “ minute man” T/shirt as a reward! This is THE a place to stay in Uyuni, don’t even bother to look elsewhere or you will regret it! Lanie B

You must pay in cash. We checked about this ahead of time, but for some travellers, this may be frustrating.

A real gem of a place in Uyuni. The owners are incredibly kind and run a wonderful operation. We arrived a bit early and were in desperate need of a shower after 4-days in a jeep and were able to check into our room early with no extra charge. They helped us with finding bus options to San Pedro, dinner recommendations, and provided us a boxed lunch for when we left early (5am) the following morning.
