Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe maid service only cleaned the room once. There was no dishwashing liquid, so we could not wash dishes. We requested it twice. The pier to the water needs to be fixed for easier access to the water.

Bonaire St Eustatius and SabaAt night the property looks very empty. There are maintenance issues with various little things on property. Like lobby toilet without a potty seat. Burned light bowls... the bar area that closed since 8pm due to lack of visitors a closed restaurant... at the bar no i ingredients to make several cocktails.
The location if the property is nice. At the beach close by the city centre The pool area is nice and comfortable

CuraçaoThe rooms are very plain, simple, poorly decorated. The bathroom wasn't very clean and so was the room's floor. The safety box was stuck and I couldn't use it. No closet space, no iron and no iron-board, the amenities lacked attention, the tv had much more snow than the Alpes and no channel could be watched properly. I missed a coffee maker, shower curtains. The pool water wasn't very clear & clean either.
The location of this hotel is perfect, very well located. The staff is very helpful, friendly & polite. The beach bar SPICE is cozy and the breakfast was fairly good.

United StatesThe building next to the diving shop, noise from loading and unloading tanks all day. There is no hot water, just warm water, The room cleaning was done well. I tried to move to another room when trying to extend my stay for another week, with no help. The reception man tried to charge my credit card without my permission, no success, I turned off my card. The hotel has arrangements with cruise ships to stay at the beach, it's loud and noisy when tourists come.I just waisted my money.. It's basically all island like this, bad service, dirty, with ugly landscape, good exeption fish 🐟 under water.
It was a nice beach, where you can snorkel and relax, this is it.

CanadaRoom was not as appeared online. No accommodation for disabled persons. Upcharged for room on main level as no elevator for persons with disabilities. Housekeeping continually ignored "Do not disturb" sign on door, and would enter room, then upon waking me up, request when she can return? Housekeeping would do this on a daily basis. Mostly no toiletries, or very limited when housekeeping would provide any toiletries. Total junk/scrap yard out our rear window. Workmen continually walking past our ground level window. Could not leave curtain open or would have zero privacy from workmen rummaging through the scrapyard of abandoned toilets, sinks, and over grown weeds and debris. Unit faced a busy parking lot with servicing Diving equipment for divers. Continual traffic and noise from very early morning throughout the day, and night traffic til all hours of the night. The dock at the waters edge for the swimming area was in such bad need of repair. It had yellow caution tape wrapped around it to prevent anybody from falling through the rickity old boards. The refridgerator door was hung on the wrong side. We had to stand to one side and stretch across to the other side of it, in order to open the door. The chest of drawers were totally warped preventing opening and closing each of the 4 drawers. The dishes, cutlery, cookware was ridiculously sparse, as in 2 knives, 1 fork, 1 or 2 plates, 2 spoons. We requested a toaster for the room. This apparently was an unusual request that housekeeping had only 1 of this in the resort, yet there was a small waffle maker in the room? Not sure who would cook in the rooms as there was next to nothing for cookware or eating utensils! We chose not to eat in the restaurant. Since the rooms were so bad, didnt want to chance the food this place would provide.
