Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandThe room has aircon but the rest of the building not. The lift can take very long to come to you. On a hot day it can be a bit uncomfortable. Although breakfast room had great views the set was cheap.
The room is spacious and the bed very comfortable. Great views depending on your room. I had a parking spot available. Breakfast included.

BrazilMy only issue was with parking, and until now I'm not sure if it was a problem from Booking or from the hotel. In the Booking app, it's stated that the hotel has parking, no need for reservation, and it is 30 reais per day. According to the hotel, they have parking on such conditions but it is subject to availability. This information is not stated in the Booking site and app. I was able to have parking, but if I had this info prior to the booking confirmation, I would have chosen another hotel. Fortunately I was able to park my car with no issues.
Breakfast was included, it's close to downtown and I was able to have parking which was an issue before arrival. Staff is very friendly.

GermanyWe reserved a luxury room with a queen bed. However, we got a room with two single beds put together. At our complaint we were promised to get a room of the reserved category next day. What we got was again a room with two single beds put together. The receptionist Alana told us that the hotel has only one room with a queen bed whichiwas already occupied. The air con of the new room lost water from the beginning. In the evening of the last of five nights in the room (Sunday at 19:30), we were called by the receptionist to move to another room because the air con of our room will be repaired right now. We rejected the move. Hand wash basin in the room - not in the bathroom. Uncomfortable bed and pillows. Rather small bathroom. Breakfast in a small, always cramped mexican restaurant attached to the hotel. Only artificial fruit juices at breakfast.
Location. Very clean room. Good soundproof. Strong WiFi everywhere in the hotel. Good breakfast - however little choice. The young woman who managed the breakfast room all alone did a very good job.

Sri LankaWe reserved the conference room to have a meeting and paid B$ 300 as the rent. They promised to give us an invoice for the payment in the morning next day (as we made the payment at night). When we went in the morning (check out), they said that invoice will be sent in an email. they never sent it. I sent many requests via bookings.com. They promised to send but never sent it. It is very unprofessional. They did not give an invoice for our stay as well.
Breakfast was good. Some of the staff members were helpful.
