Such a good hostel, really felt like home :) travelers from all over, nice and helpful stuff, great balcony with great food and comfortable rooms. The hostel offers hikes in good prices and its so easy just to sighn up and know you are in good hands!

I liked the hostel a lot

A very well-organised, clean hostel with friendly vibes. It gets very busy but the linked agency starts treks early and people seem to go to sleep accordingly. So despite being an exceptionally social place it's also relatively quiet. A great view from the terrace

Everyone was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The hosts Eric and Thomas reached out when we first booked to offer information about the different tours, and Valerie was super helpful with getting everything organised. We were also able to check in at 5am and leave our bags in storage after check out, which we appreciated. Delicious breakfast and great location also. Would absolutely recommend this hostel!

There was no airco in the dorms which can get a little hot.

Wifi was very patchy, especially in my dorm room. Staff (especially front desk lady) was often not punctual, which resulted in people waiting for the kitchen to open in the mornings. Guides did not speak English not Spanish! Makes it very tricky to communicate and get important information across while on a trail. Hand soap in the dorm bathroom would have been great.

The bunk beds were very sturdy (solid wood) and spacious. Plenty of room to lay things right next to the bed and also onto drawers in the room. Ceiling and standing fan both available. Blinds to darken the rooms as well. Shower got nice and hot. Kitchens were well equipped and they also had plenty of water filters. Booking tours with them was super easy. Communication via whatsapp pior to arrival with infos about tours and partnering restaurants was super smooth.

Common kitchen opening times could be extended. The fans in some rooms were a bit noisy - especially if you occupied the upper bed directly under the fan. I was able to change the bed for the lower the next day and then it was fine for me.

Super breakfast with tapiocas, cuscuz, scramble eggs prepared freshly for you! Shared rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, light and a socket for every bed (and even an small shelf which is what I always miss in hostels!), there is enough storage space in the locker assigned to each bed. The terrace has a very nice view on the valley, two very well equipped kitchens allow you to prepare you own meals. I recommend the Valey do Pati trip organised by the agency - both for the views - really worth it + for the food: the tour guides were exceptional cooks <3 (or maybe it was the hunger after the whole day of walking? haha :D )

This hostel has the vibe your looking for. Very chill and easy to meet people. Two spacious kitchens to prepare your own meals. If you want there is also a nice breakfast available. The trips they organize are for a good price, but there are hardly any English guides in the area.

There was a tiny mess up with the room bookings on our late return from the trek, which ended up being absolutely fine. We would have liked to be aware of it earlier though.

We ended up staying 4 nights at Chapada Backpackers. They also offer tours and we did a 3-day trek with them. They are super helpful and accommodating, and they speak French and English, which was a plus for us.

Some of the staff, especially at night, wasn't really helpful and a bit rude. Rao, our guide to the 3-day trek in Vale do Pati, was also rude, lacked essential communication skills, and failed to take us to do all the activities in the itinerary because of poor planning and lack of will.

The place has a nice vibe, very reasonable prices for backpackers and solo travellers, and (really) amazing breakfast! (Probably the best I have ever had in a hostel). I stayed in a private room, which was spacious, comfortable and had a big ensuite bathroom. There are two kitchens available for the guests. The hostel also has a travel agency that offers tours to different destinations in Chapada Diamantina at very good prices. The hostel is located at a 5-minute walk to downtown but in a less touristy area, allowing better prices for food, groceries and services.

The door from the attached bathroom in my dorm made a lot of noise, which was really annoying.

Location is perfect, the view from the rooftop terrace is awesome. I liked the active vibe! The not-included breakfast is good!
