Rio is a great city with spectacular sites. The traffic seems to be well managed compared tour our home city of Auckland. Excellent lighting phases for traffic. Difficult to complain about anything.

Excellent location great friendly staff super comfy bed. Sea view room is a must pay the extra for a full view of Copacabana beach. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Couldn’t fault this hotel 👍

Poor breakfast,this level hotel can do better.only 2 elevators for 13 floors(found ourselves waiting over 5minutes for the elevator to take us down to lobby) ,small pool.

Best location! Litearly on copacabana,feeling safe at all time.Nice new room.helpfull staff,taxi station just outside the hotel(also its better to use an uber). Outstandidng view from the room and from the pool.

The air con was quite loud and made the room a bit airless, had to open window most of time. A minor thing was only a few of the staff spoke english, although most people in Rio don't, a bit pressumtious of me but this was a surprise to me. I would have liked a few more to know english as well, but it wasn't an issue. I used a translator on my phone, and everyone was patient and understanding.

Great Location, brilliant view of Copacabana. Friendly staff (although there was often a language barrier) were very helpful. Roof top pool and bar was good as well for relaxing. Comfy room, great views, good location, and smiley friendly staff. Would stay here again.

Old hotel, run down, hygiene standards very poor. Not many staff can speak English. Breakfast is average.

Although many of the staff were lovely and friendly, there were a few who really let the side down. Avoid eating in the restaurant and the food is terrible and the waiter grumpy and rude. Tried to scam us for a bottle of wine we had not ordered and would not drop it when we complained. We had requested rooms on the same floor but when we checked in the person on reception wanted to charge extra for this on the basis that we could not have a decent view if we had booked rooms in a certain category. We were given rooms four floors apart which did not feeling accommodating given we had requested rooms close to each other months in advance.

The floor was not cleaned. After a few days we still found sand from the beach there. The hair dryer was broken.

took for every to complete check-in paper work despite all details of reservation provided by booking.com, no free water and bed quite soft (personal choice though) streets behind again not a patch on Ipanema (where we also stayed) which are very safe and provide great quality of choice. Copacabana just lives on its reputation of it’s known name.

Breakfast had great variety and felt very authentically Brazilian. Room was comfy and staff were very helpful and friendly. Loved the rooftop pool and lounge area. Having towels provided specifically for the pool and/or beach was a great touch. The location is very convenient for visiting different parts of the city and of course the beach! As a bonus, it was great having a taxi stand directly outside for getting around.

The add-ons to the price after I booked were higher than I expected. Fitness center was very small.

The room was much larger than expected. Not quite the size of U.S. business class hotel, but very large and comfortable. The bed also was very large and comfortable (although too soft on one side for me, but some people like that). The view of Copacabana beach was worth the premium price. I had two issues with the bathroom (slow running toilet, clogged sink) for which I do NOT fault the hotel. First, when I reported the problems, the hotel IMMEDIATELY sent someone up to fix the problems. (I fault why the previous occupant of the room did not report the issues. How is the hotel supposed to know if someone does not report them. And I know the hotel was not at fault because of how fast they fixed the problems once I reported them.)
