Amazing hostel in Boipeba. Beautiful and peaceful location with great communal areas. The kitchen and rooms are well equipped. Staff is very friendly and helpful with tips of what to do in the island. They also offer laundry services for a very reasonable price.

The mosquito nets in the bedroom are not efficient since there is nothing in the bathroom to prevent bugs from getting inside and go to the room after so it's a shame cause there are a lot of bugs/mosquitos. It just needs some improvement. Mosquitos are everywhere on the island however so.. The hostel is close to the main square and there's an ok beach nearby but all the famous beautiful beaches are a bit far so you have to take a quad all the time to get there which is quite expensive at some point but that's how boipeba is. Those are details though cause the hostel is absolutely amazing and is the reason why i stayed so long (9 days)

I really loved this hostel! Its location was a standout feature for me - centrally located yet nestled in a stunning forest setting. The surroundings were incredibly calming, offering a lot of spaces to either work or simply unwind. The cleanliness of the facilities was impeccable, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, and I felt completely immersed in nature there.

Oh my goodness. Just wow. For context, the night before my stay at Eco Casa I had “treated myself” to a private room stay at a more expensive hotel (5x the price of Eco) on the island. I enjoyed my stay at Eco Casa far, far more and wish I had had longer there. It’s the type of place you could happily stay for weeks - Alessandra has created the equivalent environment of “hot cocoa by the fire” - the place is so tranquil, calming, friendly and welcoming. Alessandra herself is absolutely fantastic - it felt like I had a mum very far from home!! You wake up surrounded by green and trees and the hostel even has a mini gym and mat/yoga area. It is also super close to everything so it is really convenient.

No air con in the rooms but there are fans. Also no mosquito nets on beds so you will get eaten by bugs at night. Still a lovely place though with a nice atmosphere

Hostel is located in the middle of the forest, it has s jungle vibe. Constructed from the recycled and natural materials with many beautiful little details, is an inspiring place for anyone interested in natural building. It's very peaceful and close to nature. It's super clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, they have coffee machine and toaster. The location is great, feels like it's far from the town but it's really 1 min walk from the main square. 5 min walk to the beach.

Beautiful place, very well implemented in the nature. Full of trees, very green, perfect on a hot sunny day as it provides lots of shade. The accommodation is comfortable, clean, well equipped kitchen and beautiful terrace with hammocks and equipment for exercising/ yoga. Last but not least, lovely people running the place. And the nicest dog Gentileza.

Staying at this hostel was a great experience. The host speaks good English and is incredibly helpful person. It seems like ordinary human kindness, but it is not so common. I appreciate it very much! Location is good, beds are comfortable, kitchen fully equipped.

Very good location - on the edge of a park (hence the beautiful old trees in the garden), while also very close to the main city square. I really liked the outside "gym" place where I could do yoga/train, or just read a book in the hammock. The kitchen was very well equipped and clean! Gabriel and the other volunteers take really good care of the place, you can see they are doing their tasks with full dedication, and they are always eager to help ;) The bedroom was spacious, with storage lockers for every bed. The hostel is not very big (I've seen only two shared rooms, of which only one was occupied at the time I was here), but I still met some exceptional people there!

Bugs everywhere, but you expect that in the jungle. A few centipedes in the room, but they’re harmless! Just strange to step on one in the dark.

Amazing property tucked away in the jungle. Super cool terrace with hammocks and a day bed, and a nice little outdoor kitchen. Eco conscious which I appreciated. Room was huge, plenty of space for 8 beds, even better that most of our stay there was only us 3. No AC, but plenty cool at night with the fan. Two toilets (M/F) and a huge shower in the room. Staff was so friendly.

Casa Di Barro is a wonderful place. The location is one block to the city center and two to the beach and somehow is still quiet and calm. The kitchen is fully equipped and it's in the open air so you never fill trap. Dani is wonderful and super helpful.

This may be the best hostel I’ve stayed in in Brazil. I loved it!!! So nice people, sweet staff, really good breakfast, beautiful surroundings, nice atmosphere, clean and good beds. And the terrace overlooking the palm trees… amazing.
