If you are not with the 1st to have breakfast you won't get much. Even basic things like bread or cheese won't be refilled. But if you go to the kitchen to ask you will get it. And breakfast is only until 9 h!

Nice hostel with good common spaces but for some unexplicable reason there is not a social atmosphere. The staff is friendly enough. My room was nice and spacious with 3 windows and a small balcony so when there is a breeze you have natural airco. It's'5 minutes walk to the beach.

Nice location near all the bars, restaurants and beaches. Amazing staff, they offer lunch daily, homemade prepared by one lovely lady. The hostel is like a big holiday house in Brazil, nice experience.

My stay was very nice, I booked a bed in the dormitory and it’s really nice because you still get to enjoy the shared spaces of the pousada, very calm and big garden with plants, flowers, animals.. there were multiple bathrooms, all clean! it was really nice thank you!

Amazing hostel. Great location in a safe and fun neighbourhood, close to everything you need. Comfortable beds, multiple bathrooms, exquisite breakfast and they offer dinner some evenings for a small fee. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable helping me with my travel plans.

I think the main problem with this place is that it's trying to be a Pousada AND Hostel when it should really just be a Pousada. From what I could see, the private Pousada rooms and guests were nice and happy which is where I think the good reviews come from. The "hostel" portion is really just 2 shared rooms thrown on the very very top (3 flights of stairs) that are completely ignored and not maintained well at all. The shared room is pretty awful to be honest and I have stayed in a lot of hostels all over the world and all over Brazil. The layout of the beds doesn't make any sense as they have 5 beds when they should really have 4. The door to the bathroom doesn't work at all. There is no AC and only one large fan that makes a lot of noise so all the windows are open but it's next to a marsh so every night I woke up with tons of mosquito bites and mosquitos usually ignore me. The first night I had no repellent on and it was hell and I barely got any sleep. The second night I bought anti-itch cream and put some repellent on but it wasn't enough and still woke up itching with tons of new bites. The third night, I COVERED myself in repellent and finally got a full night's sleep with no new bites. The breakfast is very subpar and the fruit is not fresh. The kitchen you can technically use but it doesn't feel very welcome to really use it to cook full meals in it because the kitchen is also used by the staff to make meals and it feels like you're intruding on their space and time in there. The staff were nice enough, not rude but also not friendly and didn't look very happy. The bathrooms were in dire need of some repair and a few upgrades. You can go to the bathroom and shower but there's just a bunch of small details missing to make it more pleasant and up to normal hostel standards which I am very used to not being anything close to a hotel but this was pretty bad.

I met some nice people that were staying there and I got to see monkeys come down from the trees in the garden. The location is near the boardwalk and beach although the beach is not a super pleasant one as it's huge (depth wise meaning you have to walk along way from where the sand starts to the beach and it's very windy with very little natural shade as well) and just a sun-baked desert. There is a really nice food truck park very close that I liked a lot and ate frequently and even caught an amazing jazz show at. Some small grocery stores nearby but nothing like a full market, and a good acai place close by as well.

1. Rooms were full of people's crap. It was apparent everyone had been there for a long time. 2. The lockers barely fit one regular sized rucksack. 3. There were more people staying in the room than there were supposed to be. 4. The WiFi stopped working my second morning and still wasn't working by the time I left. The staff didn't care at all. They shrugged and carried on using their personal wifi which was working fine. 5. Beds were itchy and uncomfortable.

The breakfast was lovely and the common areas too. That's all though.
