How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

very good location for visiting the Iguazu falls! nice breakfast and the hotel staff was super friendly. all in all good for thr price you pay! the pool was very nice after long warm days exploring the falls

It's close to the airport and to the national park . Stayed only one night. Breakfast was amazing, little bit old could use some renovations but overall it was good

The room I was in may need a little paint refreshment
The location is top tier : 2min drive from Iguassu airport and 15-20min walk from the entrance of the Brazilian Side of the falls. The breakfast was really good with a lot of options (salty, sweet, fruits, yoghurt, fresh juice, tea, coffee, milk...), the restaurant had many options, and the plates I had were really good. The room was spacious, clean, and just what you need for your stay. AC is also available in the room There is also a pool but I didn't try it, as it was raining during the afternoon of my stay

Can take awhile to get an Uber to the falls as the fare is rather low. Beds were fairly hard. The hotel is a bit away from the town (not close enough to walk).
Close to the airport, and the hotel offers a complementary shuttle service. Fairly close to the Brazilian side of the falls (~15-20mins), so on a good day you could walk. There is a travel agency in the hotel that you can arrange transport with. The breakfast buffet is good, with many options. For supper they also offer a buffet for a reasonable price.

Overall the place is a bit old and equipments outdated. Comfort can be affected.
Great location, in between the falls and the airport both can be reached by walk. Friendly staff speaking good English. Nice to have a travel agency inside the hotel, it helps to organize the visit to Argentinian side.

The problem was the window not completely closed but is simply the way the window is done not a problem of closing; the shower had not very hot water.

- the room was quite sad, it looked like from an old motel; - the room cleaning has to improve... there were hairs in the shower; - they did not change towels (we had a three night stay).
- transfer from/to airport included (at least in our reservation via Booking); - travel agency within the hotel (Colibrì Express); they were very kind, we booked with them both the transfers to/from the Brazilian falls and a private trip to the Argentinian falls; - good breakfast; also dinner at the hotel restaurant was not bad at all.

They forgot to tell us on check in that we needed to insert a card to make the electricity work. This location has a lot of beautiful birds. If they added bird feeders it would be fantastic for guests to go watch.
The rooms were nice and I could take a nice hot shower. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic.

It is not a new luxury hotel but a traditional house, which has seen better days.
Close to the waterfalls. Easy access by mainroad and airport. Pool and Indoor pool are old but ok. Breakfast was ok for European standards.

Communication in restaurant. We don’t speak portuguese, staff don’t speak in english. ok, somehow we ordered meals and then staff all time comes to us tells something in portuguese, which is really annoying, because we don’t undestand anything, but they just keep and keep talking… Food, however, was nice.

While I was there it seemed like all of the staff in the kitchen were sick, constantly coughing. it seemed very unsanitary, especially since they were serving food (and they weren’t really wearing masks). if staff are sick then they should not be serving guests food.
The location of the hotel was very good for going to the falls - just a 10 minute walk (though about a 15 min taxi or Uber into the town). also, it was comfortable and the reception staff were very friendly.
